I looked into his big brown eyes and smiled. "Hey josh, is Paige here?" "Yeah upstairs" i walked upstairs as fast as i could because i didn't wanna look at him any more. As i walked upstairs Brooke gave me a weird look and followed me. I went into Paige's room and Brooke came in and locked the door. brooke walked over to paige whispered something in her ear and paige looked up at me and smiled. "Uh what the heck is going on with you two...?" " you like josh!!" They both screamed in unison. "Was it that obvious?" "YES!" I heard footsteps outside the door and i opened it up and peered out. "Yea sure!" We all walked down stairs and i greeted kelly and randy. We sat down at the table and josh sat next to me. I eat some mac and cheese and broccoli, but i wasn't very hungry. Then i went upstairs and called my mom. She said it was fine for me to sleep over here and that she would drop off some sleep over stuff. Then Brooke gets up and grabs Josh's hand and leads him upstairs. Brooke motions for me and paige to stay put. Like 10 minutes later Josh comes back and i get a text from Brooke saying for me and Paige to meet her upstairs in her room. "So maddikins guess what..." Brooke says. " what Brookie cookie" i say teasing her. " Josh likes you. Like a lot. "No way! No way that could be true he was super hot and my dream guy!" I scream in excitement. "Ew thats my brother you talking about" paige teased. " ok so what is gonna happen?" I asked Brooke. " well in a couple minutes you will find out". Ugh i jut wanted to no but i decided to not say anything about it. Then i changed to subject. "So paige hows Nick?" I asked. Paige shot me this look like why did u jut say that then Brooke screams "your dating Nick?!?!" Why didn't i hear about this i thought we told each other every thing." " we uh just got together Paige lied and then changed the subject. "So Brooke hows you and Bra---" but paige was cut off by a knock at the door. My heart raced and my palms sweated because i knew it was Josh. "Its open." Paige screamed. "Hey guys" it was Josh. " Maddie can i talk to you for a second?" "Uh yeah sure." I whispered and walked out. Then i saw Brooke pink at Josh and i heard Paige squeal. "They are so embarrassing sometimes." Josh said. "Haha yeah i know right?!?" I replied. " anyways Maddie," josh said and then blushed, "i was wondering if you would like to go out with me tonight? We could go see a movie or something." "Yeah sure!" I exclaimed. Then he said, "ok so i will see you at six then i guess." Then he walked away. I stood there for a minute just replaying that in my head over and over again. I felt a hand on my back pull me into a room. I then realized it was paige and we were in her room. "You guys were listening at the door weren't you?" I questioned. "Maybeeee" Brooke said. "Im gonna guess than that you heard to the whole thing." "Yup!" "Ok so we have to get you ready for tonight we only have an hour!" Brooke said. "Lets get going!" Paige exclaimed. They started by doing my makeup. Then they straitened my hair, and put me in a pink pencil skirt, a black sugar lips tank top, and my leather flip flops. "You look HOT!" Paige yelled. Then i looked at the time on my phone and realized it was already time to go downstairs. I walked down and saw Josh waiting for me. I thought we were going outside so i opened the door but josh motioned for me to close it and follow him downstairs. I followed him to the basement and saw that Josh set it up for the perfect date. There was a big bowl of popcorn, like 15 different movie choices, a couple of drink choices, 2 snuggies, and the big screen tv all ready set up to put the movie in and watch it. "Wow." Was all i could say. I was utterly impressed by the amazing set up. Josh sat down on the couch and told me to come and get comfortable. I sat down next to him and put o my snuggie. Josh grabbed the stack of movies and asked me which one i wanted go watch. I chose the hunger games because it was a multi gender movie, it was scary, sad romantic, and funny. He popped it in the player and turned off the lights. Then he sat back down next to me. "Good choice" "thanks" i said blushing. The movie started and josh poured us drinks. Then he pressed play, took a sip, eat some pop corn and offered some to me. I declined because i honestly could not eat. I was so nervous but in a good way. He shrugged and grabbed my hand. "I am really glad were going this Maddie, because i really really like you." Josh said. "Me to josh. I really like you." I told him. Ten the movie started and i put my head on his shoulder. We held hands a while and then i broke mine away because i really needed something to drink. When i leaned back again josh did that stretch where you put your arm around the persona shoulders. Around the middle of the movie josh leaned in and kissed me. Our lips fit together perfectly, and i felt the fireworks everyone is always talking about. We kissed, and kissed, and kissed until we heard the credits rolling down the screen. I pulled back and looked at Josh. There were a million thoughts going through my head. Was this reality? Did that really just happen? Josh looks at me and squeezed my hand. Then he kisses me again, only this time it was only for a short time. He got up after and turned on the lights. When i walked into Paige's room Brooke immediately asked how was it. I told them everything right down to the last detail. We talked about it until about, and then I. Just fell asleep. I was so tired from the excitement. When i woke up the next morning i realized we had dance. I borrowed some of Paige's dance wear, and got ready. Brooke paige and i walked downstairs and eat breakfast. Shortly after Josh walks down. Kelly tells him that his hockey practice was cancelled and that he could either come with us or stay here and invite a friend over. He chooses to come with us and kelly gives him the weirdest look but doesn't say anything. I call my mom and tell her ill meet Kenzie at the studio and asked for her to bring my dance bag. We all get into the minivan and start to drive. My phone buzzes and i get a text from josh. It says he is really excited to see me dance. I write a winky face back. When we get to the studio we get out and head into the dancers den. I Guess paige told Chloe what happened last night because she pulls me off to the side and asks me about it. Then abby comes in and says she needs to run the solos in studio C and then we will run the group. I went first and ran cry over and over until i thought it was perfect. Then chloe ran her, then Brooke. We all ran the group dance then Abby dismissed us to go home. I went home and watched a couple episodes of cake boss, then i got a text from josh. It said date tonight? I found a great restaurant if you want. I texted him back sure, and he said cool ill pick you up at 7. It took me forever to get ready because i wanted to look perfect. Kenzie came into my room and started singing Josh and Maddie sitting in a tree. I ran over to her and put my hand over her mouth and closed my door. "How did you hear about that?" I asked. "Josh told me while you were ruining your solo" she told me. Dammit. "Kenzikins you cant tell mom, promise" "promise, and btw you look very pretty Maddie." At 7:00 sharp i went outside and saw Josh getting ready to walk up to my door. "Hey, you look gorgeous" josh told me. "You do to!" I said. Kelly was in the car, and she said so where am i bringing you to lovebirds. I texted josh asking "did you tell your mom?" He said he did. We got out at this nice seafood place downtown. Josh checked on our reservation and the host brought us to our table. We ordered our food and drinks, and started talking. "Maddie i brought you here tonight because i really like you, and i wanted to ask you if you would be my girlfriend?" "Sure! I would love to." Then our food comes. My scallops were absolutely delicious, and Josh's salmon looked good to. When we were done josh ordered us a brownie sundae with to spoons. OMG it was the best thing have ever tasted. Josh walked me home but when we ot to my door he kissed me. I loved kissing Josh. We kissed on the porh ir about 20 minutes until i pulled away, kissed him on the cheek, and went inside. I LOVE JOSH HYLAND. The next day i woke up to kenzies face pressed right up against my face. "How was you dateeeee maddie" Mackenzie teased. "It was very lovely thank you." I teased right back. Mackenzie asked me a bunch more questions then i realized k had a tap private with matt saffron in an hour and i had to get ready. I put on my white and pink polka dot bra and booty shorts, grabbed my phone and dance bag and went downstairs my mom we had to leave. Once mackenzie my mom and i were all in the car, my mom finally asked me about my date with josh. My face turned red as a tomato. This was so embarrassing. How did my mom even know?
