"Ughhh, I don't think I've seen so many bodies," Shippo said, looking over the fallen soldiers on the battlefield. The crows above them cawing loudly, waiting for the group to leave so they could feast on the leftovers. "Must have been some battle, hate to see what the other guys look like."

"Well, the other guys are alive, assuming," Hiroki said, looking over the scene from behind Kagome's bike, using her shoulder as a chin rester. His blue eyes take in the scene of bodies crumpled up together, their weapons stabbed into the ground or broken beside them. Not to mention the internal organs that were dried up and laid limply beside their owners. It was a massacre, not a battle. this had to be the work of a powerful demon.

"What a surprise," Kagome sighs as she closed her eyes, unlike her friends, she couldn't handle the scene too well. "Another battleground, full of bodies in the warring states era."

"You're mistaken, this was no battle," Inuyasha speaks up, causing both humans to look to the half-demon. "Somethings not right, no blood, I can't pick up the scent of blood." Miroku finished his prayer for the lost souls of the battle, looking to the scene once more with a frown. " It must be the work of some demon." His dark eyes moved over the soldiers who had horrible deaths from the monster. " And a very strong one to have wrought this destruction, which might mean it possesses a shard of the Shikon Jewel."

"That's what I was thinking, but if there isn't any blood then maybe a flea demon, or a mosquito." Hiroki said as Kagome nods in agreement but it was ignored by the two other males in the group.

"Miroku, let's get one thing straight." Inuyasha started, looking to the monk with narrowed eyes. He stole the jewels before, and Inuyasha knew the handy monk would do it again when they completely trusted him. He wasn't gonna let that happened on his watch. " I have no intention of teaming up with you or of sharing any jewel shards with you."

"Hey, Now, Dog-boy, we all have the same goal. We're better in numbers." Hiroki said, looking to Inuyasha who shrugs at him, not even looking at him.

"Stay out of this Hiro, this is between men." Hiroki gasped, insulted but slumps against Kagome with a frown. I can be a man too, wait, I am a man!

"Each man himself?" Miroku inquired, eyebrow raised in an amusing manner. "That's what you're trying to say?"

"Glad we're on the same track." Inuyasha agreed, as Hiroki looked at them but mainly glared at Inuyasha, not speaking up when Miroku left the group, finding it was better to compete from afar, out of the group.

"Too bad. He was starting to grow on me." Shippo admitted as they watched his figure get smaller and smaller.

"Are you sure you want him to leave, Inuyasha?" Kagome asked, when he didn't respond, they moved their gaze to their half-demon friend but he was gone from sight. "Great, where did he go now?" Hiroki sighs before hearing a panicked cry in the distance. "Harassing a poor human. Of course, he would do that." Kagome gasped a bit, hurrying towards the direction with her bike, stopping it when they saw Inuyasha holding a poor human by his shirt and smelling the paper in hand.
