''They won't tell you fairy tales of how girls
can be dangerous and still win. They will
only tell you stories where girls are sweet
and kind and reject all sin. I guess to them
it's a terrifying thought, a red hiding hood
who knew exactly what she was doing
when she invited the wild in"

Three weeks had passed since Hope Mikaelson heard the bone-chilling voice in the walls of the Great Hall, and yet she hadn't uttered a word about what happened to her friends, pushing the memories of that night to the back of her mind. As the days wane Hope found herself adapting to her new routine in the castle, continuing to impress her professors and housemates with her extensive knowledge and magical prowess that earned a few points to Gryffindor. On the other hand, almost nothing had changed during the following weeks; the four girls were still trying to find the mysterious room where Ravenclaw's Diadem could be hidden, but were at loss where to look. Although, the Hogwarts Library had an incredible amount of books detailing the story of the founders, almost none mentioned where the lost diadem was, it only showed them a few legends that said that it was hidden in some of the darkest forests of Albania.

As the search for the room took a dead end, Hope spent the remaining time completing her schoolwork, hanging out with her friends near the Black Lake and surprisingly spending quite a few times talking with Sirius, James and Remus - it turned out the three mischievous boys were growing on her. Remus was a bookworm at heart and had an obsession with chocolate, that made Hope remember the times when they went to the kitchens looking for some chocolate fudge and spent hours talking about muggle books and poetry, that led to another long conversation about their favorite books, both claiming that it was impossible to choose only one. Although, they were beginning to get to know each other, Hope still hadn't uttered a single word on how she was a werewolf, and Remus quickly remembered her words from the Hospital Wing, holding onto the promise about an explanation when she was ready.

James, she soon discovered was a mother hen of their little group. There were times when she was alone in the Common Room, she witnessed him helping Peter with his Transfiguration homework with such care and patience that it took all of her willpower to not set his homework on fire; she also saw him carrying trays of chocolates for Remus when he was feeling tired along with the brotherly hugs he shared with Sirius. As she witnessed James being the sweetest boy for looking out for his friends, he soon turned his mother instincts to Hope - always worrying about her whereabouts when she arrived late at night, after spending so much time researching in the library; he also took a liking to surprise her with beignets after discovering that it was her favorite dessert. How he had found that out, it was still a mystery to Hope as she never once mentioned that in their presence. He would also spend time with her asking for advices on how to pursue Lily, making her laugh and smile at the same time as he would come up with the sweetest gestures in one moment and in the other he was a dunderhead, making plans of big and elaborated declarations of his undying love for her that made Hope intervene with her thoughts on the matter, quickly changing his mind.
