Chapter one- Hot girl summer

Josh's P.O.V

It was a hot summer afternoon, and the Sway boys and I were throwing a pool party later.
My girl Nessa is already here, sitting by the pool in her skimpy neon green bikini the shows way too much.
"Hey Josh, what song should I play over the speakers?"
Bryce asked, walking out the door and onto the patio.
Our house had the kind of back door where it was all windows and glass doors and you could push them all up like a garage door.
"Uhhhh, What about hot girl summer?"
I replied, not really caring
"You mean hot girl Sommer?"
Tayler said, gesturing to Sommer, who giggled and shoved her boobs into Tayler's abs.
"Your soooo cute Tay"
She giggled
"Okay, I'm going to go before I throw up,"
Bryce gagged, leaving a disappointed looking Tayler and a furious Sommer.
I got up and walked over to Nessa, who was sitting next to Addison
"Hi girls"
I sighed, sitting down next to Nes.
"Hey Josh."
Addison said, waving slightly
"Babe, I'm so hottttt"
Nessa whined, laying in my lap
"Uhhh, so?"
I asked, confused
"She wants you to fuck her."
Addison giggled
"Addison!"
Nessa shot up, red faced
"Sorry. No can do."
I shook my head
"What? Why? Sense when have YOU turned away sex?"
Nessa asked, obviously angry
"Sense now. I just don't want to. Respect that, Nessa."
I growled, standing up and walking back inside. I decided to sit next to Jaden, who was on his phon3 sitting on the counter.
"Hey Jaden."
I said, jumping up next to him
"Hi,"
He said softly,
"What are you doing?"
I asked
"Nothing, just scrolling through instagram."
He sighed, pulling his hood over his head
"Aren't you going swimming?"
I asked
"N-no."
He mumbled
"Why not?"
I asked again
"I'm just not."
He sighed
"Okay, well, I'm going to go get into the pool. See ya, J"
I waved and walked back outside, sliding into the pool
"Josh!"
Quinton yelled,
"What?"
I replied
"Catch!"
He threw a floaty ring at me
"Tayler!"
I herd Sommer yell. I turned around to see her in a peach colored bikini, the top barely covering her nipples.
"Bleh,"
I gagged under my breath
"Isn't she so hot?!"
Chase laughed
"Uh, not really."
I groaned
" what?! But look at her features, like wooooooo"
He laughed, obviously drunk out of his mind
"Dude, where's Charli?"
I looked around
"I don't know, probably with Noen,"
Chase sighed when he said Noen.
"Mmmhmmm, well let's get you inside before you pass out and drown."
I helped him out of the pool, and into the house. It was way more crowded than before. I sat him down next to Noen and Charli. I started to walk around, swerving around girls and guys. Then, I saw Jaden. Two way bigger guys were punching him, while he fell to the ground.
"Hey!"
I yelled, running over and instantly punching the shorter one in the back of the head
"Help,"
Jaden whimpered, tears rolling down his cheeks as he tucked his knees into his chest.
"What the-"
The guys yelled, making me even more mad

"Leave this party now, before I call the fucking cops on you two."
I growled, grabbing the hem of both their shirts and punching them both in the nose

"Fuck you!"
Athens taller guy yelled, running out of the house along with the shorter one.
"Jaden! Are you okay?!"
I asked, dropping to the floor to be at his level
"N-no..."
He cried
"Here, come here"
I grabbed him and picked him up bridal style and carried him to his room.
"I'm sorry,"
I said, sitting him on his bathroom counter
"Here,"
I lifted his hoodie over his head only to see...
Cuts. All over his arms.
"Jaden, what did you do!?"
I looked him in the eye,
" Nothing. Go away. Leave me alone. Now."
He pushed my away as he shoved me out his door.
