THIS STORY WAS WRITEN 5 YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS 9.

"Riki!" Glinda my big sister, who hated her name, yelled. It was like this everyday except today. I was yelled at extra early because today I was going to carry out my last step of my test- delivering a package to Pixie Hollow! The previous steps have been easy but this one sure looked challenging. You see, everyone gets a different location and mine was probably the longest!

When each witch or wizard turns 13, she or he is bound to take an exam for the job he or she wanted. This is done to prove that they are truly destined for the job! My career pick had been a delivery witch. Nobody wants to be a delivery wizard these days or in fact nobody did. My whole family tree has been everything but delivery witches and wizards. There was a great debate whether I should be allowed to take the exam for my desired career. I want to be a delivery witch because I love traveling and making friends. I'm kind of shy and energetic at the same time.

I heard my mom and Glinda stomp up the stairs, scaring CoCo, my cat, half to death. "Riki, Glinda has a present for you to wear on your special day," mom told me. I opened the package expecting to find the worst, and I was right-it was The Dress! I could see Glinda snickering in the background. The Dress was Glinda's last assignment in her exam for tailoring, it was very very ugly. She gave it to some elder witch but now she got it back somehow. I wouldn't blame mom, she's half blind, but still is superlative in potions. I reluctantly agreed to wear it and shushed them out of my room. "What are we gonna do now CoCo?" I sighed.

Later that day, I could hear dad talking rapidly over the phone. When he hung up he invited us to sit down. "Riki, I just got off with Madame Cecile and she says that the Neverland portal has been closed because of unfriendly relations. We do know that you won't be able to complete your exam right now."

"But dad, can't they just give me another place to carry out a package?"

"I'm afraid not." dad replied pushing black strands out of hair of my face.

"Ooh, who's not gonna see Tinker Bell now?" cooed Glinda.

I couldn't believe it! If I didn't complete my assignment I could be jobless for years to come!

There are a lot of things you don't know about me. One of them is determination. And I knew that I had to deliver my package! My first step of the plan was too get that tool package pronto! But that step was already completed for me when mom gave me the package and said that Madame Cecile(the Grand Witch) said that I could have it if I wish. My next step was to get all of my supplies: Catall (my very slow broom), sack, basket for CoCo, and my charm necklace. My charm necklace was a present from my witch grandmother, who is dead now. On the charm was a red gemstone. Red in witch colors is anger and rebellion but to my grandma it meant action, confidence, courage and vitality. The last step was to change my appearance, if I wanted no one to stop me, but for that I had to wait till night.

When I was sure everyone was asleep, I got out of bed. I first changed into the black dress I never wore and slipped into purple wrap shoes(a type of witch style invented by no other than my brat of a sister). Then I took a pair of scissors and cut all hair up to my ears. I looked ridiculous.

"Are you ready to go CoCo?" I asked And with that I set off into the night with only blowing one last kiss to my family because who knew? I might never come back.
