Chapter 2
I breathed out smelling the roses, the scent invading my senses, the howls of wolves was heard. The voices echoed through the lone sky, I breathed out as I heard the footsteps get closer to me.
After Peter attempted of making me happy shattered, I couldn't help but think. If I did get rejected what would happen to me? Would I fall into despair like the others, or would I be happy if I mate with another person?
I heard the loud bell rang across the field, it was 4:00 now. The ball will start in two hours, "where is she." I heard my mother's voice say lowly she was accompanied along with someone else, I heard her suck her breath in as she saw me.
The light footsteps was heard, I breathed out looking ahead enjoying the peaceful view at the moment. "Anastasia." I heard her voice call out to me, my body becoming stiff.
The clicks of her heels came closer and closer making me gulp, "honey." I heard her voice become soft, seeing I was in a fragile state as of now. My brain had been rumbling with uncertain thoughts, hearing the sigh behind her I felt her hand on my shoulder, her hand warm and reassuring.
"Noah didn't mean to let things get out of hand." She sat beside me, her eyes watching me. I felt her arms wrap around my body pulling me to her, "I am sorry." She whispered.
I listened quietly to her words as she spoke, never had I heard her say that she was sorry before which had easily shocked me.
"I thought all these years I had taught you the right things all these years." I turned to her in her arms, seeing the small crystal-like tears form in her eyes, my heart cracking at the sight. I didn't want to make her cry.
"Your mate will love you, no matter the odds. If anything he would think you unique and desire to protect you more than anything." Her smooth voice began to crack, her fingers gently ran through my hair, brushing the strands out my face I watched with my eyes feeling the tears form as well.
"Don't you remember the story I had told you why you had gotten your unique features." I nodded lightly, yet she had told me many times but I had never gotten tired of her stories, I found it something that had bonded us instead.
She smiled lightly, stroking my cheek. "I guess you wouldn't mind if I told you again." I became quietly showing I wanted to hear the story.
"Years ago, when a young girl was born, she was left in the cold country of Staffer. She had grown with the wolves all those years, but one day while she had lived with the daring wolves something terrible had happened." She smiled, this was her favorite part as well.
"One of the wolves that she had lived with were injured terribly, he was one of the strongest, it was seen that she was going to pass away at that point, this wolf was a female a mighty one. She was said to be the strongest female wolf in her time." She took a deep breath.
"White bright colored fur and dazzling purple eyes, the young girl had made told the wolf she had wanted to be together forever, and so they were. The spirit of the wolf had become one with the young girl. Together they had formed the first female werewolf."
Her gaze locked with mine, "you are a symbol of werewolves, your eyes mean power your fur means royalty." Hearing the set of footsteps towards us my mom had looked up, a few maids had stood their they smiled lightly at us.
"Miss Anastasia, we have prepared another dress for you." My mother gently grasped my hand in her's we walked towards my room in silence, I sealed my lips tightly as we walked down the hall her heels clicking.
