Chapter 3

“Excuse me, miss” I said, my voice full of authority. “Are you lost?”

“Um, No officer I’m just on my way home.” She had replied meekly.

“If you don’t mind, could you blow into this breathalyser for me...your voice sounds rather slurred.”

“Uh, okay, sure.” She looked surprised and walked towards me.

This girl was not drunk at all. This was all part of the plan. I had attached a small cotton pad on the inside of the breathalyser that was drenched in chloroform. She would breathe it in and go to sleep for a couple of hours. Not forever.

It wasn’t supposed to last forever.

“Just blow into the tube, inhale then exhale” I commanded.

“Okay, sure.”

She inhaled

And then she exhaled

And then she dropped dead.

I checked her pulse and couldn’t find any. I had lost my composure for a couple of seconds but then I realized it would be okay. No one would know and I would go back to work the next day and everything would be okay. There was just one problem.

I didn’t know what to do with the body.

She was too beautiful to be burned and it would be a waste to bury her. I wanted her place of burial to signify something. So I decided on the restaurant. I couldn’t do it. Her face was too beautiful. Maybe it was her beauty that drove me over the edge. I couldn’t stand never seeing her again. So I decided that her body would indeed go to the restaurant but I would skin her face and treasure it forever.

And I did.
