I woke up hearing small sounds on top of me. He looks so cute snoring. (Why Lachlan, you weirdo.) I tried my best not to wake him up but thats pretty hard to do since he's on my chest. But he still noticed and fluttered his eyes slowly.

''Hey Bae.'' I say in a cheerful voice as I always do.

''Morning babe.'' He said rubbing his eyes.

''Guess what's today?''

''Um, I don't know.''

''It's New Years Eve.''

''Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that. What are we doing at midnight then?''

''Mitch said he wanted to go to the park, there were going to be fireworks and we could have a picnic on the grass.

''That sounds awesome, I'm down.''

I gave him a peck on the lips and head towards the bathroom.

Vikram's P.O.V.

He gave me a quick kiss and went into the bathroom. I felt so much more comfortable trying not to be awkward around him. He's amazing but had one issue. It was important but didn't seem to matter anymore. I head downstairs expecting the others to be down too but the only person I saw was Preston just sitting there not doing anything. I came over to him and sat down next to him.

''Hey, whats wrong Preston.''

''Nothin.''

I didn't believe him, I could tell he was upset about something and Im destined to find out.

''Preston, you can tell me anything. I would rather know the truth then not knowing it at all.''

He sigh for a moment and then spoke up.

''What are my parents going to think about this, the marriage. I still havent told them yet.''

''Why are you so scared, They were fine when you told them you were bi.''

''Yeah but I'm only 21 years old. They're not going to let me marry him.''

I then took out my phone and looked up how old you need to be to get married, I showed it to him and he sat there amazed.

''I can't believe it, I didn't know you could get married when your 16~18.''

''Well does that answer your question?''

''I guess? but still they would freak out.''

''I'll be fine Preston, do what your heart wants you to do.''

''Your right, I will tell them. Thanks Vik.''

''Your welcome.''

I got up and was about went back upstairs until Preston pulled me back down.

''Preston, what do you want.''

''I'm just curious, why was your room light still on during in the middle of the night?''

''Um, Lachlan wanted to talk to me.'' I tried my best not to blush.

''Sure, what actually happened.''

''Well um, He admitted to me that he like me.''

 "Aww thats great, so does that mean you two are a thing now?''

''I guess so, but please Preston, don't tell anyone just yet, we still need to get used to this.''

''I feel ya Vik, alright I'll let you go to your lovey dovey.''

''Don't call him that, and speaking of which, where did everyone go?''

''They went to get stuff ready for the picnic tonight.''

''0k then.''

~Time Skip to near midnight~

Lachlan's P.O.V.

We arrived at the park and it was crowded with people. We decided to go into the woods to find space for the picnic. There was a spot in front of the park where the trees weren't blocking the sky, just enough to maybe see the fireworks. We finish setting up and decided to eat right away since we were all hungry. After the meal I Vik took my hand and pulled me on top on this tall hill where no one was. This felt perfect until what he said.

''Lachaln? are you going to tell me what happened too your body?''

I was extremely confused until I realized that he was talking about the scars on my body . How the hell did he know that. I started to shake inside and felt my palms sweating up. This is exactly the thing that I didn't want to tell anyone about, especially Vik. Now he's gonna hate me.

''How on earth did you know Vik?''

''Last night when the note said that you wanted to talk to me about something, you fell asleep and I was still awake. You weren't wearing sleeves and I saw shaded marks everywhere. I began to get extremely nervous about you. I didn't know you self-harm at that time.''

I began to feel hot tears on my face but they were wipped off by a warm hand. He then hugged me and I finally felt comfortable telling someone about my depression. I told my best friend and he never talked to me ever since I told him. This felt right. I let go and let each other stare into each others eyes.

''Lachlan, you know I love you no matter what, but please promise me you wont cut ever again?''

I took in his meaning and thinking for a bit. But he leaned in and gave me a passionate kiss. Meanwhile the fireworks went of the same time that we kiss making it more memorable. I sat down on the grass and he followed me. I leaned my head against his neck and until his words made me realized the answer.

''Lachlan, I love you with all my heart. You always make me laugh when I'm feeling down, You manage to find a way to make everyone happy. Thats why I love you so much. I would risk my life for you, I would do anything to make you happy, even if you weren't mine. You will always be in my heart and nothing will make me want to hurt you.

I got teary eyes with those words I just sat there next to him thinking what I should say, but no one was as romantic as Vik.

''I love you too, and I promise I will not cut even if my life depended on it, Anything for you.''
