The clock is ticking

By: Justin Del Orbe

The clock is ticking louder and louder...

(tick tock tick).

I can't stop the clock anymore.

I wish I could just take out it's batteries or smash it against the wall to stop the endless ticking. (tock tick tock)

As the crowd around me grows quieter...

The wind blows gently on my final day(tick tock tick) ...

I know I can't leave...

Without saying goodbye..

But how should I do it?

There is an endless number of ways I could do this...but how?

Leave a letter on my bed...? With my finest hand writing. Reunite them all and say my final goodbyes now...

Before anything else?

Or leave forever without saying a word so I don't make anyone cry .

I can just imagine everyone's faces...

My loved ones wishing the day would never come...

My friends going through some rough times knowing what's going to happen...

Feeling honored for being part of my life.

I want to thank you...

All of you..

The ones who made me the man I am now...

Those who put a smile on my face just by looking me in the eye...

Those who have corrected my mistakes so I don't fall in those cracks again.

All I want to do is ride my dads motorcycle for the last time... With the tropical wind in my face...

I want to stay with them...

I will...

In their hearts...

The clock is about to stop

(tick...tock...tick)
