You spent the following morning getting your house ready for Christmas. You set up the tree, set the train tracks below it, and completely made over the mantle with garland and tinsel.

Every time Bucky tried to tell you his plans of leaving, he chickened out. He imagined the hurt and disappointment on your face and suddenly words escaped him. Maybe I won't tell them, he thinks to himself, as he takes the trash out, Maybe I'll just leave one night when they're all sleeping.

"Well well well. If it isn't good old Bucky. Look at you taking out the trash like a good little boy." Chad sneers.

"What are you doing here?" Bucky asks annoyed.

"I came to see Y/N." Chad shrugs.

"She doesn't want to see you." Bucky tells him, standing in front of him when Chad tries to step around.

"What do you know?"

"I know she said you weren't a good guy. And that she was done with you." Bucky tells him with a slight smirk.

"She didn't mean that." Chad argues weakly, trying to step around him again.

"I think she did. You should go, Chad. You're not welcome here."

Chad tries to punch him, but Bucky's much quicker. He grabs Chad's fist with his metal hand and pushes him away. Chad stumbles before eventually falling to the ground.

"Leave." Bucky orders again. "The next time, I won't be so nice."

Chad stands up and brushes himself off, walking away cursing.

"Was that Chad?" you ask as Bucky comes back inside.

"Yeah."

"What did he want?" you ask nervously.

"Nothing." Bucky shrugs, pulling out a water bottle from the fridge. You wordlessly take it from his hand and keep walking.

"That was mine." he calls after you, smiling when you laugh.

"The key word in that sentence is 'was' Bucky!" you yell back.

It's later on in the evening when Chad leaves the liquor store, still in a sour mood. He holds his bottle of scotch in one hand and reaches into his coat pocket with the other. Not looking where he's going, he bumps into a man walking the opposite direction.

"Watch it dude!" Chad yells annoyed.

"My apologies." the man answers with a heavy accent. "Do you live here?"

"Yeah." Chad answers annoyed.

"Have you seen this man?" he asks, holding up a picture of Bucky.

"Yeah. He's that freak staying with the Millers." Chad tells them, getting in his car and turning it on.

"Who are the Millers? Where can we find?" The man asks.
