Izuku always loved the rain. So, it just seemed appropriate to die beneath it.
Looking down at his chest, a huge stone stake could be seen sticking out of it.
In his neck, he felt a pair of small fragile hands holding him for dear life.
"Sir Deku! Please don't leave me... Please..." Eri's tears were falling on his face, her eyes puffy from crying too much.
Yes. He saved Eri. Fought Overhaul with her help. But, in the end, Overhaul still succeeded in giving him one last attack that pierced him in the chest.
Izuku silently patted Eri's head. His would not come out anymore so this was the best way to convey his feelings to her.
'I would do it again in a heartbeat'
Eri's crying intensified as Izuku got weaker and weaker.
'Please... Please...! Someone...! Anyone...!! Save him...!!!'
His comforting hands got lost the last of its strength. Looking up at him, she could see his beautiful emerald eyes weakly narrow in a line. He gave her one last, small, smile that made tears to build again in her eyes.
... His breathing stopped. Eri's face contorted in a heartbreaking expression before she curled up in a ball at his chest...
"WAAAHHHHHH!!!"
... And cried. Loudly enough for Ochako, Tsuyu, and any hero who was still standing to hear the sound of her slowly, breaking heart. Their expression contorting to one of disbelief when seeing their love lying lifeless on the cold pavement.
Ochako knees faltered as the dam of her motions broke. Despair filling her heart. She put her head between her knees and started to sob, then wail in an incoherent mess of words.
'I've never told him...'
Tsuyu face was blank as always but soft water still cascaded down from her eyes. Her body swayed from one side to another. Like a doll that had its strings cut.
'I've never told him...'
Her eyes landed on his dead body, again.
'Now, I'll never be able to...' She finally let her body fall. Not like she could feel it anymore or anything at all.
Her mind blank. Her eyes out of focus.
The rain seemingly reflected their hearts on the outside world.
Heavy... Endless... Maddening... And without emotion.
Would they be able to look at it again the same way?
Tsuyu didn't want to think anymore... Nor did the slowly maddening Ochako... Or the shivering Eri...
Their world slowly darkened.
... Unknown to them... In place, they couldn't reach... A deal was struck.

AN: First time trying to write a very heavy and sad chapter, what do you all think? Comment, please! It gives me motivation.
Don't worry, though. Eri's suffering ends here in this chapter. Dadzuku is coming in this new book of mine. Ochako sitting around the fence of her feeling for Izuku no more! The same for tsuyu!
As for what will happen to Izuku? Well... He will be getting a new power. As well as a second chance!
There are two hints of his new ability. One in this entire chapter. And another here:
H: Comes from a very recently revealed character from a game.
Please vote if you like my fanfics. I doing this as a hobby of sorts, but appreciation is always welcome! Now, if I could only receive it in real life, lol.
