(Just some funny Zombieland stuff to go with the chapter, If you haven't seen the movie i suggest you watch it.)

I walk behind my cabin towards the river, where Frank told me to meet him. My thoughts are racing and I can't seem to come up with a story. If he figures out she's still with me, he might kill her. I hate to leave y/n alone and lie to her, it's not good. The urge to turn back, wake her up and tell her she has to go back is strong, and I regret not doing it as soon as I approach Frank. He's twirling his knife in his hand, and doesn't notice me until I'm in front of him. Barely looking up, he puts his knife down to his side and begins to question. "Did you bring her back?" Of course he has to start there. I open my mouth to speak, but the risk of him hurting her is too high for me to lie. "No. You hurt her way worse than I thought. She can't walk." He strides towards me, and I keep my hand against the knife in my sheath, just in case.

Instead of attacking like I thought he would, he sighs and looks at me. "You can't be with a survivor, you know that right?" I wasn't expecting that. "What?" He pulls his mask off and his gaze meets my eyes. He's the only person other than y/n I've been close to. Frank and I used to be friends, but one day we just drifted apart and stopped talking. I do the same as him and he smiles sadly. "I know you, Danny. You like her." How the hell can he just assume that, without seeing me around her or anything? As if to read my mind, he continues. "The window was open last night. You guys were laughing and having a great time. You opened up to her, and she likes you for you. But you can't have her, do you know what the Entity would do to you guys?" I can't look at him, because I know he's right. I cant have her because we're in this stupid place. I feel his hand on my shoulder. "Look. Keep her here for however long you want, and I won't bother you guys. Just be careful." I finally meet his gaze and nod as he walks back towards the camp. "Wait!" I stop him and he turns around. "Do you think it could work? Her and I together, I mean." He thinks for a moment before saying anything, as if he were placing his words perfectly. "Yeah, I do. But take the chance to tell her when you have it, you never know what will happen here." He starts back towards camp and I decide to stay by the river and think.

After a while, I've come to a conclusion. I have to tell her soon, in case the Entity were to separate us, so at least she knows. I slowly head back towards the cabin, dreading the idea of ruining our friendship. I haven't had anyone like her in my life since elementary school. Am I really willing to blow it? I try to stop thinking about the negative things, because today is gonna be great. I'm gonna make us lunch, and while we eat we can pick out a movie. Then, we can watch it and as many as we like until we get bored. I could build us a little blanket fort or the couch. I open the door, smiling at my ideas. "I'm hooome" I call out, and wait for a response. "Finally! You took forever." We both laugh and I head upstairs to greet her.

The sound of his boots against the stairs come through the doorway, with Danny following. He pulls off his hood and mask, revealing his static-y hair. I can't help but giggle as he hangs his mask on the wall with the rest, completely oblivious. "What? Is there something on my face?" He agrees when I motion for him to come to me. "Bend down! Let me fix your hair." I run my fingers through his hair and smooth it down, but it stands on end again. "Are you serious? It wont go down!" Danny laughs and messes with it in the mirror. "It doesn't matter, I'm starving. What are we gonna eat?" I feel my stomach growl and realize how hungry I am. "I don't know, let's look and see what's here."

He carries me downstairs and sits me on a bar stool. We go through the cupboards and debate on food items. We both agree on a frozen pizza and Danny preheats the oven. "While that's preheating, I'm going to go run a bath for you and grab you some clothes, I promised you a shower, remember?" Finally, a bath. When he returns, we go to the bathroom and he sits me on top of the toilet. "I'm not sure how we're gonna do this, but undress and get a towel around you and i'll come back in to cover your bandages." Ok. this can't be too hard right? Luckily, undressing and getting the towel wrapped around me is barely a struggle. I call him back in and he puts a plastic bag around my leg and arm. He holds me against him as I stand up to go towards the bath. I feel like my entire body is glowing red from being against him and feeling his breath on my skin. We manage to get to the tub and he lets me sit on the edge. He turns around and I let myself relax into the warm, bubbly water. "That soap in the tub is okay for your hair, too, so don't be afraid to get it wet."

Danny comes back in about 15 minutes, and when he opens the door the smell of pizza hits me like a freight train. "Mmm, it smells so good" He laughs and replies "Well, the faster you get out, the faster we can eat." How are we gonna do this? He tells me to sit up on the side of the tub, facing away from him, while he lets the water drain. I then get my towel and wrap it around me, and he sits me back on the toilet to get dressed. When I finish, we return to the kitchen and he cuts the steamy pizza. He goes into the living room for a minute and comes back with a CD case. "I haven't seen one of those since i was a kid!" he chuckles and opens it. "Yeah, there's no Netflix or anything here, as you probably guessed." We go through the case, and by the time we reach the end there's 3 favorites: Zombieland, Halloween, and Aladdin. I'm so surprised he even owns Aladdin, let alone wants to watch it. We decide to go with Zombieland first and move to the living room.

While the beginning credits are rolling through he is gathering blankets and pillows. "What the hell are you doing, Danny?" I ask, laughing at him practically toppling over with the amount of blankets. "I'm making a little fort for us, because you can't watch a movie without being cozy." The fort actually turns out pretty good, and it's finished by the time the credits are up. Danny scoots in next to me and holds his arms open. I hesitate at first, being the nervous person I am, but allow myself to relax into his arms and enjoy the movie. I've seen this movie 100 times, but I still jump when Columbus wakes up to his hot neighbor being a bloodthirsty zombie. The scene is coming, and I know it. I prepare myself for it, yet I still flinch in Danny's arms. He chuckles and holds me tighter against him, and buries his face in my shoulder. When he comes out of his hidey space, he scoots and we change positions. Instead of him holding me, I somehow end up holding him. We both get sucked into the movie for a while, and I happily snuggle him against me, stroking his hair.

Her arms are my new favorite place. I can't even focus on the movie anymore. She's stroking my hair, goddammit, it's so perfect; both of us are reciting random lines of the movie when they happen, it's all too much. I think I truly want her to be mine and I don't ever want to let her go. So, without making eye contact, I decide to tell her how I feel. "Y/n" she looks down at me and hums. "Over the past few days I've realized something." She looks concerned, as if waiting for bad news. "What would that be?" I sum up my courage and take a breath. "I... I've really enjoyed hanging out with you. When you go back we need to have a movie night every week." I seriously pussied out. She smiles and hugs me tighter for a second. "So have I. We definitely need to continue hanging out when I get better. I'd actually be dead without you." I smile to myself and relax into her arms. I'll tell her another day.
