Velmora House

Meeting Old Garry (Ch:02)

Ronald and Draft both arrived at my house and then I said to them, "I got tickets to spend summer vacation at Velmora House, so who would like to come?" After that Ronald replied, "Even I got the tickets this morning and I'm so excited about it." I felt so strange as we both received tickets. Just after Ronald's reply, Draft said, "Even I received the tickets guys."

Ronald said, "So who is going to come with you?" Draft said, "I will bring Elise as she is close to me as she is my neighbor." I said, "Don't you feel strange guys as we got tickets to the same place?" Ronald replied, "Oh Rhea why are you thinking a lot? I guess I'm going to bring Jonas as he helped me a lot throughout the semester." I said, "Ok fine but I need some time to decide who I wanna bring with me."

They left the house and I went for a walk with my dad near the Lorren Fields. I asked him, "Dad can you tell me something about the forbidden forest?" He said, "Dear you are not supposed to go there. I don't know properly but some say that ghosts live there. But may I know why you're asking me?" I said, "Dad.....Actually, we got to do a project during our summer vacation so I thought of writing about the forbidden forest." Then my dad said, "Dear I know nothing about the forbidden forest but Old Garry knows about it. You can ask him." So I asked, "Dad can you tell me where he stays?" He replied, "Dear, he always stays at the Star library so maybe you can go there."

After the conversation with my dad I just directly went to Star Library and waited for an hour but Old Garry wasn't there then I saw a girl approaching me and she said, "Hello my name is Elizabeth and I'm the daughter of Old Garry who is the owner of this library and you can go back to your house as we are going to close it." Hearing this I was so shocked as she looked like my age and so I asked, "Hello I'm Rhea...Ummm...Actually, I wanted to meet your dad." So she replied, "He is in the basement of this library so you can meet him there." 

I ran downstairs to the basement with full speed. Then I saw him and said, "Mr. Garry it's me Rhea and I wanted to ask you some questions." To which he replied, "Yes you can but call me Mr. Old Garry." So I asked, "Could tell me something about the forbidden forest? It's my homework for the vacation." So he said, "No...I won't tell you anything...It's just that children aren't allowed to go there." I requested a lot but he didn't listen to me so I got angry and left the place.

On my back to my home, I met Elizabeth. She was standing beside a pole so I asked her, "Arent you going home and why do you look sad?"So she replied, "I'm going but I'm sad as I wanted to go somewhere for vacation but my dad is too busy." So I said, "Don't worry you can come with me to Velmora and stay at Velmora house for a week." She was so happy hearing this and said, "Oh I would love to but I have to ask my dad...So see ya..." 

I went home and thought a lot about why people are scared to tell about the forbidden forest so I just went to my dad and said, "Hey dad Mr. Old Garry didn't say me anything now what shall I do?" So he said, "Why don't you write about Velmora for your vacation homework?" To which I replied, "Marvellous idea but I wanted to write about the forbidden forest... so anyways I will go to sleep...Goodnight..."
