CHAPTER 1 : Discovering the Past

     "Ivooor!" I groaned as I dragged my sore feet along the path. "How much longer are we gonna have to walk? I thought you said this thing was close!" Yet again, the man had dragged you all on some long journey to discover something ancient. Usually, it wouldn't bother you - but this time, he wouldn't even tell you where you were going!
"Seriously! I feel like we've been walking for days." Petra agreed, crossing her arms with an exasperated sigh.
A parrot flew over your head, squawking into your ears, and making you all jump.. This jungle was getting on your nerves more and more the long you were in it.

"We're almost there! We just have to keep moving, and stop complaining..." Ivor gave both of us a look, and I stuck my tongue out at him. I could tell he was trying to act offended, but there was a smile hiding behind his annoyed exterior.
It wasn't too long after that when we came upon an old looking building. It wasn't anything like the ruins you had discovered before - but more like a big old house, or something like that.

"Woah..." You could tell everyone was impressed, just by the look on their faces - and, of course, this made Ivor very happy. 

"What is this place Ivor...?" Jesse asked. They headed toward the door, as the mage started to speak. "Of its original purpose, I am unsure - but now it seems to be some type of ancient library. It has knowledge of an ancient group of beings, much like The Order of the Stone - only dating back much, much further."
Everything Ivor said interested me more, and more - and you could tell everyone else was interested too. "Well - what are we waiting for?" I gently pushed past them, and into the house.

     Inside, everything smelt much like the old books that populated most of the shelves scattered about the house, along with the bits of nature that had started to creep into the place over the years. Before you could finish taking in the way the old building looked, completely untouched, the others came pushing in after you. Literally.

Petra pushed past Axel, and so Axel pushed past everyone. Including you. Their rough-housing ended in you getting knocked to your feet. "Guys - !" Jesse exclaimed. They jogged over, the floorboards of the house creaking, as they helped you up off of the floor. "Be careful. We don't know how sturdy these floors are - we don't know anything yet, so we need to be alert." Petra nodded. Axel looked embarrassed, as you chuckled, brushing the dust off of your armor. "But also have fun too, though - right, guys?" 

They both perked up immediately. "How about Ivor and I will check the Library - you two can check the basement?" 
"Lucas and I can check the attic - it's pretty small up there, so it shouldn't take us very long." Olivia was just coming in from outside, hearing everything from outside while checking around out there. You turned to Jesse and raised a brow. "Sounds good to me - be careful though, guys."
"If you find anything valuable, make sure not to lose it!" Rolling your eyes, you walked over and grabbed Ivor by the back of his coat. "Come on, old man."
