The door creaked as it opened, I stepped into the big gym room spotting a few students that looked a year or two above me "Y/N!" I heard Daichi call out to me, i nervously walked over to the gathered group of kid with them all staring at me. Daichi put his hand on my shoulder and smiled "okay guys, id like you to meet y/n my little brother, he's a first year here at karasuno, and he'll be joining us" every ones mouths went wide and they gathered around me "dachi! I didn't know you had a little brother" a bald headed one said "welcome to the team y/n" Suga said, i knew suga because he had been around and hung out with Daichi at our house "he's so cute!" A green haired one said, at that moment a dark haired tall boy and a small orange boy ran through the door and fell over, the team laughed at them they all moved over to the orange and black haired boy. Everyone seemed nice so far every had introduced themselves to me except for a tall blonde boy that ignored me, it was a bit rude but i didn't have the confidence to say that to his face. They soon started practicing and called me over, "y/n come show them what you can do, you've practiced with me before" Daichi said, i wasn't short but i wasn't tall either i was pretty okay at all the position but one of my best positions was being a spiker, "Tsukishima come set for him" daichi ordered, i stretched quickly and then got into my position, the tall blonde picked up the ball and sent it my way, the angle was slightly off but that was fine, i moved quickly into the best place to hit the ball and before i knew it, it hit the ground loudly. I landed and the blonde seemed a bit shocked but not enough for people that werent paying attention to notice, i smirked a little and looked at daichi, the team seemed a little shocked "good job y/n!" Daichi praised me messing up my shaggy hair eveyone finally reacted and walked over to give me advice and tell me what was looked good, after a while everyone went to their little conversations and i spotted a certain blonde sitting in the corner of the room so I decided to have a conversation with him "hello" i said to him and waved looking up at him "so you do speak, you were so quiet i thought you didnt speak." He said sarcastically, "of course i speak idiot." The words kind of spilled out of my mouth he looked annoyed "what'd you just say to me" he said angrily "oh uh.." i thought for a minute "sorry that kind of slipped out, anyways your a good setter, thought your a bit tall for one" i said, he looked pained for a second but quickly covered it up with his usual annoyed face "whatever, i dont need compliments from someone like you, dont you have your brother to hang out with? Why are you over here annoying me." He said clearly upset i was over here talking to him, "okay.. i guess ill leave then?.." i said not really knowing what to do fidgeting with my hands "do what you want." He said and got up left back onto the court with others and started practicing, it was an afternoon practice so afterwards we all got to go home together seeing as most of us lived in the same neighborhood, most of us went in the same direction and then split at the small convenience store after a few of the team got food there sense it was the weekend Daichi wasn't walking with me and was going to sugawara's house so once everyone split that left me and the blonde on the same trail. We walked in awkward silence, "sooooooo" i said trying to start a conversation "so what?" He said bluntly "your pretty tall" i said first time coming to mind "and your pretty short." He said not looking over at me once while walking "ah right your name, it was tsuki... was it?" I asked him trying hard to remember, "its Tsukishima dont call me tsuki. Were not close enough for that." He once again said bluntly to me "geez your pretty mean" i said kicking a rock as we walked, he turned to the left and continued walking "hey Tsukishima ive gotta go this way, ill see you in practice on monday" i said to him, he just kept walking and lifted up his hand, 'rude.' I thought, i decided to shake it off and try to get home fast it was nearly all dark and i was tired as hell. I ran the rest of the way home, i walked in and didnt bother saying i was back my mother probably wasnt home, seeing as the lights were off and everything i walked to my room and dropped my bag, i jumped onto my bed and curled up into the warmness, i pulled out my phone seeing a notification from a new groupchat, it had seemed daichi added me to the groupchat with the team and everyone else that always helps us, i sent a quick hi to everyone in the groupchat and then put my phone down deciding to get changed out of my disgusting sweaty clothes, i took them off and put on a hoodie and shorts, i sat back down on my bed and got under the blankets and got comfy, i checked the time: 9:02 it wasnt too late and i wasnt hungry so i decided to just lay in bed for a bit on my phone when i see a message from one of the team members:
Yamaguchi: hey y/n dont be too upset
If tsuki is being cold he's
Like that with everyone :)
I sent him a quick reply just saying that, thats fine, i opened up Instagram and decided to scroll for a while untill i got tired and cuddled up to my pillow and slowly closed my eyes letting sleep take me away to sweet dreamland.
