"What are we going to do now!?" Asked Vidia.
Keeper, who was left in charge by Lord Milori to look over migration in his absence, arrived at the Winter-Summer Boundary to check if any fairies remained to be rescued, to his shock, he found three of the bravest fairies of Pixie Hollow, looking fearful as if they had lost all hope, he saw Tinker Bell in tears, could not help but ask.
"Is everything alright Tinker Bell, you look terrible, what happened and what is this golden cocoon you have brought with yourself?"
Tinker Bell could not hold back her emotions, she jumped over, hugged him tightly and burst into heavy tears, in a breaking, squeaky manner she said, "We lost Keeper, we lost everything!"
Vidia and Zarina saw Tinker Bell, she never had seemed to be this helpless. Keeper, unaware of facts had a few questions, he spits every question he had running in his mind.
"What do you mean by everything? Where is Queen Clarion and Lord Milori, he left a while ago to help Queen Clarion, she suddenly had to bolt herself to the Pixie Dust Tree. What was that huge thunder about? Is Ravenna trapped? Tinker Bell, pull yourself together and say something."
Tinker Bell, who was crying with her head down, hearing all questions coming from Keeper, gathered the courage to pull her head up and said only one thing.
"Queen Clarion has fallen and so has Pixie Hallow, The Red Queen now rules our fate.""What!? How can this be, how did this even happen?"
He heard his cat coming with Gliss riding it, he had come back to pick up any fairies remaining for the rescue after having dropped the previous batch. Keeper, though shocked and eager for an answer, carried wisdom with age, he knew, without their Queen and an enemy such strong lurking around, who defeated Queen Clarion, staying out in open posed great danger to all of them.
"Gliss is here. Fairies, get your wings frosted now if what you say is true, we need to get deep within Winter Woods, The Red Queen, is summer born, she cannot reach us there, once we are safe, tell me everything, if Queen Clarion has fallen, I fear not much hope is left for us." Said Keeper.
Hearing the news, Gliss was about the weigh-in but was interrupted by Keeper.
"Now is not the right time Gliss, we need all of us to be safe and these girls have had a hard day, they need some rest, it's almost night, frost their wings and let's get to it."
Assuming Keeper knows better Gliss happily complied, they all rode on Keeper's cat deep within The Winter Wood, PeriWinkle had chosen the safest place in Winter Woods, a huge cave in the chilling and quite heightened, The Tall Mountain, it is exactly where Tinker Bell and PeriWinkle made their first bonfire.
Exhausted, vulnerable and helpless quite not the attributes these magic fairies ever carried, Gliss found them already asleep reaching The Tall Mountain, He carried each of them and put them to rest, He put the golden cocoon next to them as well.
PeriWinkle saw her sister and her friends arrive asleep, she was genuinely concerned, after Keeper informed her, what had happened, she was frustrated for not being around her sister, to stand by her side, though now, she left everything and hugged her sister tight.
"Keeper, can you please ask someone to cover up for my duties for some time, I really want to be with Tinker Bell, even if she is asleep."
"Certainly PeriWinkle."
Even though Tinker Bell was fast asleep, her winter-born sister provided her the warmth no summer fairy could.
"At dawn, we shall get to know what happened, at dawn, we shall figure, what can be done, all fairies here are safe, The Tall Mountain is deep within Winter Woods, everyone get some rest." Said Keeper.
