Chapter 3: A Tainted Past

Alisa just blinks her eyes at him. She is having a really hard time processing everything that is happening to her. First, she gets a present from God knows who. Then she gets thrown in a world which she always thought exist in imagination. And then two men takes her in and tells her that she is in danger because she is a woman? Can her day get any worse? And right now a guy that has fox like ears telling her everything about their world.

"Females are extremely rare in our world just as I said before. Especially human female. And that is the reason why you are in danger. If other creatures finds you then I'm sure they will take you away."

"But why me? Why human female? Shouldn't a demon go to a female demon for breeding? Or is it works in a different way in this world?" Alisa couldn't help but ask. From the moment she heard that human female s are rare and she is in danger, this question was bugging her. Why would every creatures go after her or the human females?

"No. It works exactly the way you think it should work. Or should I say it used to. Now everything has changed. Now all the other creatures depends on human females for breeding because only they are the one who are able to breed."

"Why? Is there any reason behind this?"

"Unfortunately yes. There's been a war here and everything changed after that."

Alisa's raises her brows at the mention of war. She wants to know what happened in that war that changed the rules of the nature. So she asks him "What happened at the war?"

Drako scratches his neck at the mention of war and says "It's a little... Complicated story. You want to hear it?" Alisa nodes and Drako sighs before saying "Alright. Since you are here you have every right to know." Drako prepares himself for the story while Alisa shifts in her seat to sit properly as an attentive listener. Drako cleares his throat and starts to tell her the story

"Many years ago probably 500 years ago there was the Demon Kord who was ruthless and merciless. He would kill anyone he wanted and tortured almost all kinds of creatures especially fairies. He had a tendency to rape female fairies and kill them without any mercy. And just like this one day he abducted a beautiful fairy who was the fairy princess at that time. He raped the poor fairy and killed her.

When her aunt who was a witch came to know this, she became very furious. She cursed the demon Lord that he would never find his mate or you can say wife and would never conceive a heir. And with that the witch went away giving him that deadly curse. She knew that mates are really important to the demons and that's the reason why she cursed him a life without a mate.

But the King didn't believe her. He started to search for his mate but couldn't find her. Then he gave up and choosed a random female demon to be his queen. But because of the curse he never had any children. This make him both angry and sad. He then started to sleep with every creatures but to no avail. He still couldn't find his mate or the female who would gave him a child. Just as he was about to give up he met a beautiful human girl and fell in love with her.

He married her and to everyone's surprise the girl gave birth to his child. It was actually the witch who made the girl capable to bear his children. She thought that he had enough lesson and now he deserves a happy life. But to her utter surprised that demon killed the girl after the birth of their child and held a campaign where he told his men to capture all the human girl. He then started to torture those poor human girls. This made both the Angles and witches to become mad at him along with the humans. They declared a war against him. But since he was the Demon King, all the dark creatures who were the most of the population of that time joined him.

They knew humans were weak and they don't have any kind of spiritual power. Though the witches trained some of the humans as a mage but still they lost the battle. They knew that their end was near. So they did one last job to protect the humans as well as them. They created a portal through which they send most of the humans in a world where there were only humans and no dark creatures. But before they could send all of the humans away they were caught along with some humans. But they weren't afraid. They still had a plan in their mind. They used all of their power to creat a strong curse that would change the rules of the nature.
