So, I'm new to this and I'm trying my best to continue, but it isn't happening quickly, to be honest! But, don't hesitate to give me any tips or ask any questions..I'll try to answer! ^^ Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and maybe vote for it, too!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The school was crowded. Way too crowded for my liking, but I bared with it anyway because that was the only thing I could do. My brother had seen me on the bus and he also forced the only I guy I ever liked in my life to sit beside me. He created this to be the best day of my life..I just hoped it lasted.
Jason was popular and so was Russell. That's how my brother knew him. But, being popular also came with liking a lot of girls. Now, Rus and me? We talked about things other girls didn't. We planned our future, yet neither of us were in eachothers, we talked about our past, but the other would just smile politely, attempting to not laugh at our mistakes. I was glad...more than glad...for my brother because only he was the one who could reason with Russell.
I thought about that now as I stood, gazing around in confusion at the crowd before me. As though I had summoned him, Russell walked up beside me and draped an arm over my shoulders. I turned for approval from my brother because I was sure the teasing would start soon, but instead I received a wink. Weird...well, I guess that's what birthday are for!
"And last year he hung spagetti in your locker..I would say he is being extra nice to you today, you might want to enjoy it!" Rus commented in his deep voice. It sounded like a roaring ocean to me and I liked that about him. "Hey! You never know what he is going to do!" I nudged his shoulder, shaking my head in utter disbelief. Enjoy it? Was Russell yet another of my brothers endless tricks? I sighed as Lucy walked over, offering a gentle, but flirty, smile to Rus. She was tall, 5'9" and thin. Not to mention, everyone in the school knew her and it was a rumor that all guys liked her. I knew Rus didn't. I wasn't sure who he liked, but it wasn't snotty Lucy. Her blonde hair, she always curled it, making sure each piece was a perfect ringlet. And makeup...uggg...she caked that on until she had buried all of her skin.
"Russell!!!!" She moaned and swept over to him. She wrapped her arms around him, making a dramatically sad face. "I have been looking for you today! Don't tell me you have been hanging with that girl!" She comment, her face scrunching with disgust. Rus shook his head at her and sighed. "Its her-" "It doesn't matter...I forgive you, c'mon, let's go!" She demanded and anchored her nails into his skin, yanking him along. I could see the pain playing in his gaze and I rushed forward to help him, or try, but he motioned for me to stay away...I guessed for my saftey.
I watched him go with a sigh and turned the other way. Looking up at long and winding route to my class, I couldn't help but moan at what I would interfere with. It always seemed to happen somewhere on the stairs and I would end up in trouble for it. You see, one time those popular kids made a show out of it, they planned the whole thing just to get me mad. I'm proud to say I was everything but mad...I could care less what they wanted to do.
I took each step carefully, looking up only to confirm the next step was there and then, continued on. Once I made it to the top, I gazed down below me and smiled to myself at seeing I had finally got up without any trouble. At turning around, I knocked into someone and looked up, searching for his face. When I found it, I wasn't surprised it was one of them. He was too cute to not be popular..too strong-built as well. The popular guy bit his lip and leaned in, his words beginning in a quiet whisper. "They want me to do...something..but, it doesnt matter, so come to class with me?" Then, raising his voice a bit more, he held a hand out. "My name's Conner....its nice to meet you!" "Cecilia..." I murmured in complete awe, barely able to shake his hand.
