Chapter 1

Tanjiro couldn't tell what happened to him, one moment he was fighting Muzan side by side with his friends, but now he was standing in front of a serene lake by a small house. Memories suddenly started flooding his brain; screaming, severe pain in his neck, blood everywhere, guts being ripped out, Nezuko's tears on his face, and then darkness. "I'm dead." he realized in a panic.

Tanjiro was still thinking about his horrible realization when he heard a voice behind him. "beautiful isn't it," spoke a somber voice, Tanjiro turned around to see a familiar face, "Yoriichi," Tanjiro says bowing down, "there is no need to bow," speaks Yoriichi, "as you may be able to tell you have passed on into the afterlife and I am here to guide you," he softly speaks, "but what about my friends? What about Nezuko?" cries Tanjiro, "your friends are fine and your sister is safe," said Yorrichi, "but I needed to turn her back into a human!" exclaimed Tanjiro, "I know you're worried about her but there is no reason to be," he explained, "Nezuko was already inoculated with lady Tamayo's antidote, she is already back in human form." he continued.

Tanjiro let out a large sigh of relief at these words, 'Nezuko is safe.' he repeated in his head. He was then approached by Yoriichi who started to explain what might happen to him; "what you need to realize is that there are so many other worlds out there besides your own," Yoriichi stated, "you may have died to early in this world but I can send you to another one to live a longer life in peace." Tanjiro couldn't believe what he was hearing, but it all made sense somehow. "I accept your offer," he stated. "Very well," Yoriichi breathed, a large portal-like hole appeared by the house."This will lead you to your new life," said Yoriichi. Tanjiro cautiously approached the portal and went inside, the portal hole closed leaving Tanjiro on the other side in a whole new world.
