Kabanata 2 - Puso

"Oh there you are Sussy! i wan't you to meet your new partner! Luke" Boses yun ng News Chief namin habang pinakikilala kami sa isa't-isa.

"Luke this is Sussy! i want you to be close to each other  because you will working as a team! i want you to remember that secially you sussy" si chief yun habang seryoso syang nakatingin sa amin. "and i wan't you both to be serious on your job specially on delivering the news" pahabol yun ni chief habang nakatingin sa akin.. yes sa akin lang! dun sa last part na yun. 

"Nice meeting you Sussy! I'm happy na makakatrabaho kita" sambit yun ni Luke hapang buong ngiti na nakatitig sa akin ang maamo nyang mukha at mapupula nyang labi na masarap halikan PERO hindi ako magpapadaig sa mga yan dahil i know my #1 Rule in Love.. Bawal ma-inlove sa mahirap!

then i heard "Sussy come to my office, there's something that i want to discuss to you" sabi ni chief. Kaya agad akong sumunod kay chief  matapos kong i-greet ang new partner ko.

AT THE OFFICE:

"Sussy please come in and have a seat"

"Do you want coffee or drinks?" continuation ni chief while tahimik lang ako na naka-upo.

"you know,your almost a year here in our news department  and i still believe that there is something in you, maybe a talent that need to bloom for your career's sake. Chief continuation.

"i know how hard for you to enter our network and how dedicated you were to deliver the truh.. i know your always on time and that's a spirits of professionalism but there's something i want to discuss on to you" Chief continuation.

"you know that i will never let you down in respect for my promises on your father's willl, that i will protect you on all harm and i know that you know that your father is my best friend and ever since your father is the one that .." chief said pero pinutol ko sya.

"Can you please said it direct to the point that i can easilly understand?" i relpied

"Sussana.. (Nahinto sandali) ... gusto kang alisin ng board bilang reporter sa network, gusto ka nilang pagbitiwin dahil sa mga kapalpakan mo sa trabaho,  i explained to them that your still young but eager to learn from your seniors, but the facts that they don't want to listen to my explaination and most of your colleagues are not interested to work with you anymore because of your weaknesses as a reporter. i'm so sorry to tell you but this is maybe your last chance to prove to them that they were wrong and they misjudge you. even thou they know that your father is..."

"i know about my father, i know that he's the one that buld up the reputation of this news department, because of all of his hardwork and even giving all of his soul, heart  and time on his own family just to gain the success and the trust of all people on this network. but that's not the excuse, i need to prove it not just to you, or to them , or to my father.. but just to prove it also to my self that i belong here.. as one of you, and as one of them.."

"go on, move on and make your father proud!. i'm sure he is.. definetly proud" that's chief that solemnly said on a very mild voice addresing to me.

"go on Sussana! your partner is waiting for you, go on girl you can do that!" chief still said it solemnly.

"thank you Chief estor" i replied... but, THEN, "naku chief nakalimutan ko anu nga pala tatalakayin namin ngayon? hahahah nakalimutan kong tanungin sa yo! hahaha"  nakita ko si chief na tila bubula ang bibig sa pagkabigla.. 

"Sussy tara na baka mahuli tayo sa ibabalita natin. bilisan mo" alam ko si luke yun na minamadali ako. 

"sige na, puntahan mo na yung partner mo, alam na nya ang gagawin nyo. natalakay ko na sa kanya kanina bago pa tayo mag-usap. sa opisina ko at bago ko pa kayo ipakilala sa isa't-isa"  si chief yun habang kumukuha ng malamig na tubig sa kanyang water despenser. "Good Luck" pahabol pa nya.

"tayo na partner" si Luke yun na nakangiti sa akin... oppssss teka lang hindi mo ako mapapaibig ng dahil sa ngiti lang.. pero laking gulat ko ng hawakan nya ako sa kamay at hatakin papalabas ng opisina at ng building ng network na tila nagmamadali kami..pero nuon ko lang din naramdaman ang mainit-init nyang kamay at makikisig na braso. " haaaaaaayyyyyyy.. OPPSS SUSANA don't forget your #1 rules"  nasambit ko sa aking sarili.

"this is it! Our first trip as a team! kaya natin ito sussy! Luke said..

"yeah i know this is it! i know and i promise to my self that this is the beggining, the first step toward success.. to be a better bradcaster" 

then luke replied " I know, together we can! " and then he smile to me again, but this time i feel comport and happiness...
