"Tenko!!" A woman shouted rushing towards her 6-year-old son who's grey shirt was drenched in a sticky crimson red liquid. She crouched down next to him with tears filling her eyes as she stared at the mutilated corpse of her daughter and pet dog.
She gripped his shirt looking into his ruby red eyes with terror as she screamed random nonsense. He couldn't hear her desperate please as his hands instinctively cling to her body, slightly trembling in fear himself.
She let out a blood-curdling scream catching the attention of her parents as her body turned to a bloody corpse.
"H-help me." Tenko sobbed as his grandparents wrapped him into a hug only to end up bloody and mutilated themselves. Their bodies went cold as their blood pooled around them joining the puddles of blood around the other three bodies.
"Tenko you little shit what did you do!?" His father shouted from the porch tossing his now empty beer bottle to the side.
The boy gripped his head fear showing in his eyes as he heard his father approach. All of a sudden something changed. He turned around with a menacing smile before charging at his father, hand extended in front of him.
He watched with pure satisfaction as the light left his dreaded father's eyes.
Shigaraki shot up his whole body shaking as he looked at his gloved hands in the dark. They were shaking uncontrollably.
"Damn it." He muttered running his fingers through his matted light blue hair. After taking a few deep breaths he decides to walk out to the bar to get a quick drink before returning to his room.
"I thought you were sleeping," Kurogiri said softly looking up from the newspaper he was reading.
"I was. Got thirsty is all." The male rasped scratching his neck as he retrieved a glass from the cupboard above the sink. The warp gate just shook his head taking a sip from his glass of whiskey, turning the page of his newspaper, continuing to read.
"Kurogiri...Nevermind. What are you reading?" Shigaraki asked softly taking a seat on a barstool facing the mist man.
"Just the papers. Looks like All Might is back in Musutafu. Saved two boys from a sludge villain from the looks of it. On his first day back nonetheless." He stated folding up the newspaper, setting it down on the counter.
"Of course. All Might the symbol of peace came running back. It was going to happen sooner or later but still. It pisses me off." Shigaraki growled shoving his gloved hands into the pockets of his sweatpants.
"Try to not get to worked up about it now. It's late. Do try and get some rest. We have a big day tomorrow." Kurogiri said softly as he walked towards his sleeping quarters with his hands behind his back.
"Yeah...A big day." He trailed off glancing over to his room. Slowly he made his way to the closet in his room grabbing out a black hoodie and a pair of black ripped jeans.
Slowly he put them on pulling the hood on over his unruly light blue locks that covered some of his face. What wasn't covered he hid behind a black facemask?
He pulled a pair of white socks from his dresser drawer slipping them on his feet along with his favorite pair of red sneakers. Glancing over his shoulder he looked at the clock that was mounted on his wall. 1:36. He wouldn't notice if I took a quick walk. Shigaraki thought to himself as he hopped on his window sill crawling onto the fire escape.
Sirens filled the air as cop car after cop car sped to the scene of another villain attack. Another one down huh? He thought to himself as he jumped down into an alley slowly trudging out into dimly lit city streets.
His ruby eyes scanned the almost empty streets as he made his way toward the park no more than three streets down. Sure he was the soon to be the leader of the underworld, but he still had rules to follow. Although he didn't like the lack of freedom. Not everyone wants to be cooped up in their room and a bar all day.
He yearned for freedom. Being able to roam the empty city streets was that escape. Even if the only places open were gas stations, bars, and clubs. It was still so refreshing.
Slowly he made his way to a park bench in front of a small lake in which he took a seat. The light from the nearby almost shining down on him as he stared at the moon that reflected its light onto the shimmering water.
Having slept less than an hour earlier Shigaraki found himself dozing off ever so slightly, with his arms crossed firmly over his chest.
~Time Skip~
He woke up later that morning to a tap on the shoulder as a teen tapped him lightly on the shoulder. His unruly green hair sticking out every which way as he fiddled with the hem of his school uniform. "E-excuse me...A-are y-you okay?" The boy stammered nervously getting an annoyed grunt from the older male.
"Yeah, what time is it?" He asked groggily as he looked along to the semi-crowded lake.
"O-oh, it's 7:26 mister." The boy said quickly.
"So I'm not late yet...Thanks, kid." Shigaraki said as he stood up slowly making his way back to his home. He knew that Kurogiri would be furious about him sneaking out but then again why would he care? He was a grown adult now wasn't he?
Carefully Shigaraki climbed the fire escape closing his window as he stepped inside. Quickly he pulled off his mask shoving it in his dresser drawer.
*Knock Knock Knock*
"Yeah?" He shouted pulling the hood off his head before grabbing Father off his desk.
"Tomura Shigaraki, a word if I may." The warp gate said politely. Shigaraki who already knew what was coming let out a groan before pushing the door open, leaning on the door frame.
"I'm all ears, old man." He rasped his arms folded across his chest as he waited for the all too familiar lecture.
"I know you snuck out last night but I shall spare you the lecture. All For One wishes to speak with you at once." He stated handing the boy the burner phone in his hands.
