***DING DONG DING***

I wake up suddenly as the sound of the intercom plays through the plane, I look around studying my surrounding while trying to wake up when my though is suddenly lost my flight attendant high-pitched voice.

"Ladies and gentlemen, as we start our descent, please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Make sure your seat belt is securely fastened and all carry-on luggage is stowed underneath the seat in front of you or the overhead bins. Thank you."

I reluctantly pull the seat belt across my body. The clicking sound assures the stewardess that I did in fact buckle. After our encounter is ended I try to stretch but soon fail as I bump my head on the seat in front of me. I let out a deep breath in defeat.  and soon later follows the horrible dining sound that woke me up minutes before.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to Australia Airport. Local time is 10:00 am and the temperature is partly cloudy at 52°F." as I hear this I quickly become confused because I don't remember landing but soon blame it on my tiredness.

As the plane empty, I remember why I'm in Australia in the first place. See I was invited a couple of days to come out to this new resort, but I can't quite remember the name. Anyway, I'm not one to no to coming to Australia after all this is one of the places I've never been to.  The main reason I was invited though was that there was going to be a halfpipe computation in two weeks and I never miss a chance to ride my snowboard and win an award. As a professional snowboarder and the season slowly coming to an end every competition is more and more important.

As I get a tap on the shoulder I come out of my daze and notice The rows that were once filled by people were empty and I look at the person to the right of me waiting to get out. I quickly jump out of my seat and apologize

"Oh my god I'm so sorry, please go ahead." All the man did was grunt and I was taking back by surprise by his rudeness but soon come to forgive him because we had just been through a 25-hour flight. I reach and grab my backpack out of the overhead bin. I through my bog over my shoulder and walk down the aisle towards the exit. The air stepping out of the plane and into the tunnel gave me goosebumps. The warmness from the plane had now been replaced with chilly air and I liked it much better. I take in a nice deep breath and make my way to baggage claim.

With my heavy ass suitcase stuffed with two weeks of clothing and ly obnoxious snowboard case in the head along with my backpack, I stand like a lost puppy in the lobby. with the weight of my bags starts to hurt my back I walk towards the seats that are placed across the room.

"Maddie, Maddie Pacholski." I hear as I make my way through the crowd. I stop and look around and their eyes meet a guy standing in front of me. He was what looked like 5'9" with brown hair, and he's now standing in front of me with a smile. "Maddie..?" he says again.

"Oh yes, yes I'm Maddie," I say and his smile brightens, and without knowing it mine does too.

"Hi Maddie, I'm Jack it's nice to meet you." He says as he puts his hand in front of me to shake my hand. I look down at my busy hands and back at him. "Oh, I'm sorry let me help you there." He says with a bit of a laugh as he pulls the snowboard strap over my head. As he does this the weight from my back lightens.

"Thank you, you have no idea how goo that felt,"  I say with a smile.

Jack then leads me towards the doors as he explains to me that we have another two-hour ride to the resort.  All I could do with this information was let out a breath of defeat, but Jack reassures me that the seat in the van is very comfortable which bring a smile to my face. Jack continues to tell me that he's an assistant at burton and how much he loves it. Then He suddenly comes to a stop in front of the van which to my surprise was surrounded by half a dozen people. Jack and another guy come over and take my bags which leave me standing alone.

With the weight of my bags gone I start to stretch my stiff body. I mean they should really have more space on airplanes so you don't come out a cripple.

"Nothing feels better than a good stretch after a flight huh." A similar voice says which causes me to look up. Now standing in front of me is Luke Winkellmen. I take a moment to look up at him and his brown eyes, and his messy brown hair peeping out of his stripped blue beanie. The next thing I know his arms are around me squeezing me.

"Seems like you missed me, "I say and Luke squeezes me tighter which causes me to squirm

"Seems like you missed me, "I say and Luke squeezes me tighter which causes me to squirm. He laughs and let's go.

"Of course I miss you, it'ss been two months."

"Awww Luke, I missed you too. So you here for the competitions two?"

"Ya, All I know is that I was invited and I mean you can't say no to Australia." I laughed at his words because we think so much like each other. Suddenly we both turn around when Jack yells that we should all load into the van. I stand there for a minute staling because I didn't want to get in but Luke looks back at me and smiles. "Cmon Maddie, I don't wanna get in either but we have to," Luke says as he grabs my hand and leads me into the van.

I sit back in my seat which was surprisingly comfy just as Jack had said it would be. After everyone in the van, the van starts and we are on our way. I truly tried my best to stay awake I did but my eyes got heavier and heavier and I soon gave in.
