The accounts department is pants shittingly cold. That's the only thing Jackson has on his mind a few hours into his new spot in the accounts department.

He feels rather clueless. Not that he can't do accounting (psst: he can't), but the fact that this is his first day and he received nothing more than cursory nods and one or two looks at him before he was completely ignored. His cubicle, a small grey thing in the corner, is cold.

It does not feel as homey as he thought it would. It is chilly and doesn't have the warmth of Mark warming it up by sandwiching it between his buttcheeks.

...exactly how high was Mark again?

Back to the point. The cubicle beside his is empty, the seat swivelling awkwardly, as if it's mocking him. The air is kinda stagnant despite the air conditioner blasting. It smells like hopeless souls and destroyed ambitions.

Maybe he's thinking too deeply.

As much as he would not like to admit it, Jackson is lonely. He misses his squad in the HR department. He misses Zitao. He misses -ugh- Mark. He even kinda misses Seulgi.

Sigh.

Life is sad.

Jackson is sad. And even cheese will not lift his spirits.

He's considering penning a short sad story for himself when the door to the accounts department whips open and a fiery redhead dashes in, hair billowing around her head and her dress crooked in many places. Jackson isn't very sure how you make a dress crooked, but her dress is crooked as heck.

She mutters a few short sorrys to the others in the department before she makes her way to her cubicle and hey she's actually kinda pretty but nah her hair keeps falling into her face it's obstructing the view and HEY SHE SITS BESIDE HIM.

Jackson is already a third of the way in love.

This is a great time to notice that he is staring at the woman. She tucks her hair behind her ear and glares at him. "What?" She doesn't even say anything about him being the new guy.

Like an idiot, Jackson blushes. It creeps up the side of his face and the woman looks like she wants to slap it off his face. Aww, that's adorable.

She groans. "Men are all the same," and rolls back with swag into her cubicle.

Jackson rights himself, and removes the foolish smile that's somehow plastered itself on his face. Maybe he's just jumping to conclusions and thoughts, but this redhead seems kinda cool. By cool he means pretty. By pretty he means attractive. By attractive he means- oh forget it.

"Will you please stop staring at me?"

The foreigner blinks multiple times before he realizes what he's doing. "Um. Yeah. Oh. Um. Uh. Okay. S-Sorry," and he wants to impale himself on his pencil because he does not stutter. Jackson Wang does not stutter! Stutter does he not!

What is this? Becoming weak kneed just at the thought of this strange hostile woman?

She iiiiis really pretty...and she's really hot when she gets agitated. Great. Jackson now has a crush. Last time he had a crush on Seulgi and look at the sticky mess he's in with her now.

Falling into his own thoughts, Jackson grimaces. He made a lot of mistakes. A lot. Things which he aren't proud of. Things which...which...

"STOP STARING AT ME YOU FREAK!"

This is going to be a long day.
