Nekozawa X Mae Oneshot

I stood in front of a door leading to the black magic club hesitating to go in. Nekozawa had asked me if I wanted to join his club, a bit desperately might I add. He always wore a cloak to hide from the sunlight due to photophobia, so people were a bit put off by him. 

‘Well I might as well see what this clubs about right? I do want to help Nekozawa ..’ I thought as a faint blush crept onto my cheeks.

The door opened with a creak and a cloaked head poking out causing me to jump slightly.

“Oh Mae I wasn’t expecting you to..” Nekozawa trailed off as he looked at me.

“Wasn’t expecting me to come?”  I asked folding my arms looking back at him.

“I-it’s just that most p-people refuse the invitation.” Nekozawa averted his eyes to the floor.

“Well I’m not normal. Besides I want to join it could be fun and I get to hang out with you more, which is a plus.” I smiled a closed eye smile.

“O-oh ok. Then welcome to the club!” Nekozawa said as he pulled me into a candle lit room.

The room was a decent size and even though the only source of light was from the candles you could see the whole room.  It was decorated with gothic styled furniture and decorations.

“Wow this room is quite amazing and not that scary looking. Not sure why people are so afraid to come here.” I chuckled a bit looking over everything in the room.

“Glad you like it Mae.” Nekozawa smiled and sat in a chair.

“Mhm, so where are the other members?” I asked siting on the couch across from him.”

“I think their off doing their own things today so I’m not sure if they’re going to be here today.” Nekozawa replied with a sigh.

“I see well since it’s just me and you right now what would you like to do?” I asked leaning back on the couch.

He was quiet for a few moments before looking at me in the eyes. I don’t know what it was but I felt a blush dust my cheeks.

“Why don’t we just talk? We haven’t seen much of each other for a while.” It seemed like he has something on his minds but I didn’t pay it too much mind.

“Ok that’s fine. How you been? I know you recently hung out with your little sister?”

“Nekozawa smiled and nodded. “Yes I did but I had to have the hosts help me at the beginning. With my condition I can’t go in the light and she’s afraid of dark and scary places so I needed help.”  

I nodded. “I see well that’s good I’m glad you got the chance to fix things with her.”

It was quiet for a few minutes before he spoke up.

“Yes it was. Can I ask you something?” His eyes met mine before he looked away as if shy.

“Sure what is it?” I replied looking over to him.

“What was the real reason you joined? He wouldn’t look over to me as he asked this.

I was taken back but his question for a few seconds. “W-well I wanted to spend more time with you.. I thought I said that?” I asked with a slight blush.

“Yes but I felt like I forced you to join and I don’t want you to join if you don’t want to.”  Nekozawa hung his head hiding his face under his cloak.

How was I going to tell him I wanted to join because of him? That I had feelings for him and I wanted to be more than friends?

“I… I wanted to join because of you… I wanted to get closer to you and…” I blushed and looked down at the ground not wanting to say anymore.

He looked up at me and blushed. “You wanted to come here because of m-me?”

I nodded blushing. “Y-yes b-because I l-like you.” I stuttered afraid of what he would say.

To my surprise he got up and pulled me into a tight embrace and burying his head in the crock of my neck.

“I like you too Mae… I was too afraid to tell you directly and asked you to join the club so I could be near you more…”

My cheeks burned bright red at what he said.

“I liked you for a long time now.” He lifted my chin bringing my face to look at his before he leaned down and kissed me.

My eyes widened in shock but I soon melted into the kiss and wrapped my arms around his neck brining him closer. We stayed like that for a while before breaking away for air.

“I’m happy you feel the same way about me Mae. You have no idea how long I wanted to kiss you.” He smiled and rested his chin on my head. I snuggled into his chest sighing happily.

“Me too Nekozawa.” I smiled wrapping my arms around his waist getting closer to him as much as I could.

I was finally happy with the man I had feelings for, for a long time and I wasn’t going to let that change.
