"Lilith" a stoic voice calls out. "yes?" the maid responses in advance. "what's on our schedule for today?" the maid fumbled around and looks for the calendar, she flips through multiple pages before stumbling upon a creased and dirtied page. "oh, we don't have anything for today your grace", "great, that'll be all" the lady flicks her hand, gesturing for the maid to leave. "y-yes lady Florence" she tumbles upon her large steps before closing the grand door before the young woman. The maid sighs with relief. She looks over to the other concerned workers "well? how did it go?" they asked curiously" The young miss was calm" all the servants were shocked, "you mean to say she hasn't thrown any tantrums in the past few days?". The room was silent and the maid shook her head. "She's been doing her work too" They all look baffled at the maids subtle response. In a hushed manor they all talk among themselves, after some brief arguing and debating, they beg and plead Lily to do them a favour. "WHAT?!" Lily's voice stiffens. "I'm not risking my life all for a question!", "please!" the servants bicker in response, they plead and beg until Lily confides. "...fine". She gave into their empty promises and bribes. Lily stepped inside the hallway and opened the grand door slightly. "Lily?" "YES?" The fear in Lily's voice growing terribly large. "what are you doing in here?" "uhhh i'm here to ask you something lady Florence..." Lily hesitates "Well whatever it is spit it out" Lily pauses before speaking, she thinks about her words and after a long pause she manages to mumble. "Did you happen to hit your head or something?", Florence looks up, surprised by Lily's words. "I-i'm sorry Lady Fl-" Florence interrupts with a loud heinous laugh. Lily flinched at the sudden laughing, and was shocked to hear the young miss laugh. Florence laughs until her stomach hurts, finally quieting down and wiping off tears. "That was a good laugh", Lily stays silent. "no, I did not hit my head" she smiles at Lily warmly. Lily bows and heads for the exit. "Oh and Lily", she stops dead in her tracks, "order a carpenter to come by", "oh yes, I shall make an appointment" lily says. "May I ask what you need done?" Florence pauses before answering Lily's question. "I need the doors to be changed, the mansion needs to be sound proofed. I could practically hear the whole neighbourhood out there". Lily's eyes widened and she turned red, "a-ahh yes m'lady Florence" she exits the room. "I can't believe she heard our whole conversation..." she hits herself, giving her a self punishment. "why" she says sarcastically.

She got up and stretched, looking out on the window sills vanishing point. *believe it or not, i'm not lady Florence* Florence rises and takes a stroll *I woke up in this body about a month ago, it took me a while to get used to it but now i'm fully immersed with my role*.

*it seems I was placed inside this novel...* Florence stood up and examined herself, everything was different, her appearance, her age, her title, even the time. "maid" Florence called out, "ah yes?" The maid was nervous. "what is your name?" The nervous maid looks shocked "well?" Florence was losing patience "ahh, ah yes! it's Lilith!" the maid replied stiffly. Florence sat there dazed in her thoughts. "...Lilith would you mind telling me the date please?" Lilith stood there shocked. "please don't let me repeat myself" Lilith snapped back to reality "uhh yes young miss, it is currently Monday 5th of January", "and the year?" "pardon me?" Lilith responds "what year is it?" Lilith is stunned "uhh... 1764 madam" Lilith shakily holds the tea tray and tries to hand it to Florence " so, early 18th century huh?" "what was that your grace?" "oh nothing" Florence replies. Lily picks up the tea cup and tries to hand it over to Florence, her loose grip untightens and the cup falls onto Florences lap. Liliths eyes widen. "IM SORRY MY LADY" Lilith bows on the floor and pleads. "I'm the only one to support my family, I can't afford to lose this job! i'll gladly accept any punishment, please don't fire m-" "enough" Florence interrupts. Lilith flinches at Florences sudden change of tone. "please change my sheets and resume your tasks". Lilith looks up in disbelief. "well?" Florence says hastily. "Ah yes my lady" Lilith stands and is shocked by something. 'oh that's right. I'm supposed to play the role of a villain...oops'
