It's Reys funeral today. It's been a week and chass been barely eatin an shit. Hell I been havin to take care of Niyah cuz chass been layin in the bed like a damn zombie. She ain't talked to me and she won't let me sleep in the bedroom, ion know why tho. We're in the car an I just dropped Niyah off at mama house. Once we get to the church we go sit down beside chass mom, Reys mom, dad, lil brother, and TeeCee and Nevaeh. Chass has tears in her eyes and TeeCee hands Nevaeh over to her. We sit down and listen to people's eulogys for a while. Then they call chass up to the stand.

I walked up to the stand and prepared myself to talk for the first time in a week. I cleared my throat. "Reyanne was my best friend in the whole world, she was my only friend in the whole world to be exact. I love her so much and we've been through everything together. I've been upset since she passed, I've hardly been eating or sleeping, but I slept a little last night, and she came to me in my dream. She said 'chass, baby girl, this isn't healthy. You look terribly unhealthy. I'm fine up here where I can look after all of you, I want you to cheer up and celebrate my life, not mourn my death, because I'm still very much alive. Every bit of me is inside my daughter, so I'm not really gone.' And then she wiped my tears away and disappeared. I woke up crying but I know it's true. I'm gonna celebrate her life and I hope all of you will join me." I walked off stage and sat beside Keenon and smiled at him. He put his hand on my leg and i grabbed it and held it. After the funeral, me, Keenon, T, and Nevaeh went to ihop. I was feeding Nevaeh a bottle while waiting for our food when I saw T looking at me. "What?" I asked "I'm giving her up for adoption" I looked at T, horrified. "What?! Why would you even say that?!" I semi-yelled. He looked at me with sad eyes. "I'm sorry, she remind me of Rey too much. I can't take dat" I look back and forth between Keenon and T. "I'll adopt her" I said. Keenon snapped his head toward me lookin at me like I'm crazy "don't look at me like that Keenon" I snapped. "I'm sorry ma, you jus caught me off guard. We can adopt her if dats really wat'chu wanna do". "That's exactly what I wanna do" I smiled. T let us take Nevaeh home with us for tonight and we picked up Niyah on the way. Once we got home I put both of them to bed and took a shower, then me and Keenon went to bed. We have a lonngggg adoption process ahead of us.
