Giggling echoed in the shadowed chamber. The room following was completely black, a single light shining from an unknown source. Sitting in the center was a man. "Is it ready?"
"Yes, sir. Are you sure this is the boy you want?" They handed the mysterious man the report.
He smiled wide. "Yes." His voice was unspecified. It had no accent, yet a mix of all accents. It was laced with a compelling energy, listening too long could convince anyone into anything. He stood up from his chair. He started walking towards the garden. He opened the grand gates. They stood, 10 feet above his height. They had the feel of power and strength. Anyone standing against them would feel small and mundane. The spiraling pattern was mesmerizing, enough to make anyone entranced. When opened, they creaked ever so slightly. Everything around him radiated darkness. Even the flowers were a deep black. He leaned over and picked one of the roses. He placed it underneath his nose, taking a whiff of the fragrance. It smelled sweet, but the undertones were sour and bitter. You couldn't tell it was laced with poison until it was too late. He smiled and carressed it gently. "My beautiful creation. Soon you will be of use to me. Soon." He grasped it in his hand as he sauntered towards the fountain at the center of the majestic garden. The water flowing out of the spout was as dark as the midnight sky. It sparkled in the moonlight. He gracefully dropped the rose in, letting it fall off his fingertips. It disappeared into the basin. He grinned mischievously. "See you soon, luv."
