Disclaimer: I own nothing

If you don't know me you are living in a cave. But just in case I 'm talking to prehistoric people that don't even have a Tv in their cave... Hey, I 'm Isabel, the prettiest and most popular girl in Wilderness school, which is natural because I 'm the favourite daughter of Aphrodite and the only way I use to improve my appearance is a little make-up, just a little, since I 'm already perfect ( Remember Jason describing her as an "owl with make-up" in the Lost Hero) Well, in fact I 'm not even a demigod, but who cares! Everyone actually believes it and what people believe is what counts.

...

I had heard that there would be a new girl in our school today. I looked forward to meet her! She would be either a new victim for me -I really appreciate the gift, principal, thanks- or a new faithful servant. It was the break when I saw her and my predictions about someone's character proved wrong for the first time.
I would love to say she was so ugly, everybody turned to the other side, to avoid looking at her. But no. In fact the very opposite of this was happening. In the very minute I saw her, I saw competition. I hate to say it but she was -deep breath- she was stunning.
Her skin was a little darker than mine, like a Native American's, her hair were long, brown and choppy like she had cut them by herself and her eyes... oh my gods...her eyes were changing colour from brown to green and then to blue! She wore no make - up. She was b...bea...beautiful -I said it!- in an natural kind of way.
The next thing I noticed was that all the boys were looking at her with awe.

Which was unacceptable! I am the queen here! An ugly - it's more easy to say than "beautiful"- little, newcomer would not steal my position! I decided to get to action and show that stupid newcomer who the real boss is! Besides I am the daughter of Aphrodite. Who would dare to oppose me?

I walked confidently towards her.
"Hey, newcomer. I am Isabel, the queen of this school." I said looking at her intensely to make sure she would take the hint. Half the school was looking at the encounter, with interest. I guess that, if they didn't already knew that I would win it, they would have started gambling.
"Oh hey Isabel." newcomer said and turned her back at me obviously planning to leave. Key-word: planning. I wouldn't let her, of course. She dared to try to ignore me?! She will learn who exactly I am soon!
"Isabel, the queen of Wilderness High, and favourite daughter of Aphrodite." I reintroduced myself.
She turned and shot me a curious look, which I recognized as awe and fear. Good. Goal achieved. Time for fun.
"Do you have a name? Or unimportant people don't?"
Then the girl did the most unexpected, the most terrible, the most unforgivable thing, that ruined everything:
she started laughing.
How dared she? Who did she think she was?
After five minutes passed with her laughing hysterically and me shooting her death glares that would have made everyone else go hide in hole ( You haven't met Annabeth, Isabel ) she finally stopped, her eyes still laughing, and said
"Does the name Piper ring a bell, Isabel?
I frowned. Indeed, that name sounded familiar. But from where did I know her? Then realization came. No, that girl who dared to laugh at me couldn't be her. It was impossible. Then I looked at her eyes again and my nightmares became true.

This beautiful girl who was the most competition I had ever faced in this school, was the same Piper I used to spend my time with - meaning making her life a living hell, teasing her unmercifully along with my minions, some years ago.
After I overcame my first surprise, I remembered some good reasons I used to tease her about. I smiled viciously. She may have become even more beautiful than she was, more confident, but in a war of words I would be the obvious winner and her confidence would disappear in a matter of seconds.
"Oh, nice to see you again, Piper. How's your dad? Did you learn any new rain dance?"
The old Piper would have try to stand her ground in vain, but that new version of her didn't seem to care.
"You know, I have never told you my full name. Let me reintroduce myself: I am Piper McLean, daughter of Tristan McLean."she said casually.
What??!! The whole school gasped.
We. Had. The. Daughter. Of. Tristan. Mc. Lean. In. Our. School.
For god's shake she was the daughter of a celebrity! And my favourite celebrity, no less! And I laughed at her the whole year because her dad was an Indian!
My expression must have been ridiculous. I had opened my eyes and mouth in shock and just stared at her with disbelief.
"Impossible. You are lying." managed to say one of my minions, Mary, since she was the first to overcome her shock.
Piper just smiled at her, turned her back on us and left, while I thought how minimal possibilities there were now for me to take an autograph from Tristan McLean...
