Zander's POV
I think we did a decent job on our performance. This trip to Great Britain has been nostalgic for me, and I've gotten the chance to be among my own people. The Music Club came here to perform a song, and some others tagged along, including Jake's friends, the popular girls, Daisy, and Elliot. It's been an interesting experience, but now I just want to go back home.
We all boarded the plane and found our seats. "Hey Zander! We're next to each other!" Luke grinned at me. I managed a small smile in return. He let me have the window seat, even though I closed the window. His fingers found their way to mine, and I smiled lightly, zoning out into the conversations around us.
"Ugh. Why did we even come? I swear, the best part of this trip is the plane ride back." There was no mistaking Zoey's whiney voice. I didn't like listening to her, so I averted my attention elsewhere. Happy chatter filled the plane. The conversations seemed boring, though, so I glanced over at the last two people in the plane. I narrowed my eyes, glaring at the peach-haired boy. He was laughing at something Hailey said, then he reached over her and grabbed a paper and pen, flattening it out in front of them. They both leaned in, and started writing. I didn't like how close he was to her. But what could I do? They were happy together, and I had to accept that.
It still didn't mean I had to be okay with it.
I felt Luke's gentle hand on my shoulder, and I looked into his soft golden eyes. I sighed and sat back down, not realizing I had stood up. His touch calmed me down.
The pilot came crackling on. "Prepare for take off. Please refer to your screens, and all safety issues for the flight will be addressed there. You are advised to put your seatbelts on. How to do so will be explained in the video. Please alert a flight attendant if you have any questions, and please enjoy your flight."
After the mandatory video was over, I felt the plane slowly accelerating. It went faster, and faster, and faster, and in one moment of tension, we rose off the ground. Luke gripped my hand tightly, and I brushed a reassuring thumb over his white knuckles. My ears popped, and after about a minute of rising, the altitude made itself familiar with me. A ding sounded, and I undid the seatbelt strapping me in. I glanced over at Luke, and he still had his eyes squeezed shut. I reached over with my free hand and unbuckled him. His expression didn't change. "Hey," I said softly, cupping his face in my hand. He opened his eyes a little bit and looked at me. "It's okay. The sooner you get used to it, the better." He loosened his grip on my hand and let out a breath he seemed to have been holding. I gave his hand a reassuring squeeze and leaned back into my seat.

The armrest between me and Luke was folded up so we could be closer. It was nighttime, and I positioned myself so I could lean back against the closed window. I curled my legs up around Luke, and he laid down on me. I slowly ran my fingers through his light brown hair, his face buried in my arm. This was comfortable. We covered ourselves with the blankets the plane provided. Luke's chest moved up and down, slowly and deeply. I gazed sleepily into his soft features. My eyelids were heavy with sleep, and they gradually drooped down until they closed completely.
The plane seemed to stumble in midair, and the low purple light that had been there before was replaced with a red one. The sleepy atmosphere dissolved into confusion. Luke lifted his head from my chest and rose up, rubbing his cheek. "Zander, what's going on?" he whipped around to face me. I shrugged and adjusted myself so I wasn't leaning on the window anymore. I slipped my shoes back on, and Luke did the same. I stood up and looked around at everyone's confused faces. The speaker came crackling on again, and I looked to where the sound was coming from for answers.
"No need for panic, passengers. We're just experiencing a slight power outage. It'll be over soon," the pilot reassured. I sat back down. I didn't feel like sleeping anymore. Restlessness ran through me, and my leg bounced up and down, impatiently waiting for the power outage to end. Hushed chatter filled the plane, suggesting that everyone else was wide awake. I slapped my thigh lightly and stood back up. A curious-looking Liam caught my eye. He was squinting out the window, trying to see into the dark. A sudden silence hushed the passengers. There was a suspenseful quiet for what seemed like an eternity. A loud noise came from where Liam's seat was and he jumped back, white as a ghost. "THERE'S SOMETHING OUT THERE!" he shouted. A small red ball appeared behind him in the aisle, and it transformed into a shadowy figure. It lunged for his throat.
Then all hell broke loose.
I couldn't tell one person's screams from another. I barely glimpsed the red-haired boy being thrown out the window. Some people stayed in their seats, while others were running around, being chased by the monster. I watched the chaos, frozen in place. The monster locked eyes with me, and my breath caught in my throat. It stepped closer, and was about to lunge for me when I felt a hand grab me and pull me away.
Luke and I ran to the back of the plane. We found a dark corner and scrambled to hide there. I wrapped my arms around him and willed this all to be over.
The shadowy figure stepped into the back of the plane. My eyes somehow went even wider than they already were. The monster slowly came closer to where me and Luke were hiding. I held my breath, praying that it would leave us alone.
I swear I saw it look us in the eye. It left us and continued to wreak havoc around the plane. I couldn't believe it. It left me and Luke alone. It didn't kill us. I looked Luke in the eye and hugged him, never wanting to let go. He hugged me back, and we stayed that way for what seemed like forever.
The lights flickered back on, and the terrifying presence that had been there a moment before was gone, replaced with shock and relief. Me and Luke walked back to our seats, clutching each other's hand. A horrible realization washed over everyone still here.
Something was out there, something that would stop at nothing to get us. We would be picked off one by one, until none of us were left. The only question was:
Who was next?

Liam's Death
I peered out the window, curious as to what was on the wing. I squinted, trying to see into the blackness of the night.
There was silence for a moment. Then a hand slammed onto the window. I jumped back. "THERE'S SOMETHING OUT THERE!" I shouted. My eyes were wide, my heart beating fast. My breaths came short and shallow. I thought I saw a face in the window, but that was impossible. Right?
I gulped and leaned closer to the window. Nothing was out there. I heard more screaming behind me, and I started to turn around. I froze. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a shadowy figure. Its head was faced downwards. I backed up against the window, terrified. It slowly lifted its head up. I couldn't see anything except pale eyes and a psychotic grin. It lunged forward, grabbing me by my shirt collar. It twisted the fabric and I gagged, trying to break free. I barely heard the shattering glass above the screams.
The next thing I knew, I was flying. For a split second I was completely surrounded by air. The moment seemed to last forever. Then reality crashed in. I didn't even have time to scream before the engine swallowed me whole and left shreds to fall to the ocean below.

???
Well, at least I got rid of that one annoying kid. He left behind quite a mess. Oh well, the plane is irrelevant. It'll be discarded soon enough.
But let's focus on today's accomplishments. One of them was already dead, and a bloody death at that. I scared everyone pretty well, if I do say so myself. I have to admit, I was sympathetic to the sandwich. If I killed them, everyone would be out to get me. But one thing rains on everything.
I still didn't come close to killing her.
A/N: So, I haven't really been working on this lately because, uh, LiFe, so yeah ;-;
