It's finally the day I get to be back at the office. I get there 30 minutes earlier than I needed To. What? I'm trying to kiss ass here. I walked in the office with two small coffees I am greeted at the front desk with my bestie she hugs me.
"I brought you a coffee" I hand her the cup and she takes a sip out of it.
"I didn't have time to get coffee your a life saver Lizzie" Stephanie said
"Your welcome is anyone here?" I asked sipping my coffee
"Wayne is here he knew you was going to be here—" she got interrupted but the devil himself he just knew we was talking about him.
"Well well well if it isn't the most dumbest person on the planet" he smirked ugh I just want to slap him.
"Good to see you to Wayne" I groaned
"I just got back from the NY Project you where suppose to do. It was amazing big fancy hotel and the project went well now that I was put in charge of it."
"Can you just stop Wayne yeah I fucked up and got it taken away from me" I pointed a finger at him in his chest. "But there are plenty more to come from" I smirk and high five Steph as I walk back to my office. I turn the lights on and start up my computer.
150 EMAILS!
"Man I was only gone for 3 weeks." I started scrolling to the first of many emails. Not any projects just messages asking to not work with me.
Oh no. I run my hands through my hair and then my work phone rings. I pick it up.
"Thank you for calling Jonson Projects, this is Elizabeth how may I help you?"
No reply.
"Thank you for calling Jon—" I got interrupted by sounds.... my voice oh no someone is using the audio from the video to call me. I immediately hang the phone up. I sigh.

Later that day I finish my work , I have no new Projects to do. I might finish this year with nothing. So much for that bonus. Wayne just keeps winning.
I sign out of my computer and start packing up when there is a knock on my door and My boss walks in.
"Good afternoon Elizabeth welcome back. Just wanted to let you know that since you was gone Wayne has taken over your last year projects. You might have another one coming up but not sure. Just hang in there" he walks away.
'Great' I think to myself. 'I need some wine' I walked out to see Steph packing up to.
"Hey girl wanna maybe go grab a glass Of wine? It's been a rough first day back" I ask
"Ummm duh wine is the best" we both laugh and we both walk out to our cars and go to the nearest winery.
I Order a red and she gets a white. I'm glad I can count on Steph she has been the closest thing I have to a best friend since janice passed away. We both laugh and talk and we both had way to many glasses of wine. So we order a cheese platter to share and some water.
"So how is the boy from when y'all came he is cute" she asked
"Well we are taking small steps but I do like him." I smile
"I'm glad your happy Elizabeth. Just wait marriage life is the best!" She giggles
"Woah now I said small steps not marriage steps" I laugh
She wiggles her brows. Man she is just like Janice that's why we get along so damn well.

After we sobered up we went both separate ways to our homes when I got home I seen a bag on my front door step. I didn't order anything so I look at the tag on the front and read it.
"From Stephen I hope you had a good day at work."
I smile and pick it up walking inside my house I put the keys down and my purse on the island and opened his gift up.
It was one single rose and a black box. I open the box and I gasped. It's so beautiful.

I pull out my phone and text Stephen
Me: I just got home thank you for the bracelet Stephen my day just got 10x better thank you!
Stephen: glad to hear that well I'm at practice I will talk to you later.
I shut my phone off and I go to the couch and watch tv and falling asleep. —————————————————————————-
