That night, Ryan went home it was almost midnight I felt relieved that me and Ryan are back to normal. He still follows the rules, he still knows me and he still cares of me. It's really hard having your best friend in a different grade. I won't be able to talk to him that much in school. I guess I was overthinking about Ryan, Heather and me. I was afraid of losing Ryan.
The next day, I was in my locker grabbing my books as I saw one of Ryan's friend walking towards me. River. "Hey" I said, waving. He waved back.
"Me and the homies were planning to go to a road trip this weekend. We decided to invite you. You can also invite your other friends if you want" if I can only tell him I just have such little amount of friends.
"I'II think about" He nodded. He was about to walk away but came back to say something else.
"Sit with us at lunch" he said, winking. I didn't even nod. I didn't even gave him an answer. He just. He thinks I already agreed. Stupid River.
"RIVER I HAVEN'T RESPONDED TO THE QUESTION" I shouted. He looked back but didn't say anything. "I DIDN'T SAY YES NEITHER NO"
"I don't care. Your coming, Rhianna" then he walks away. My moth opened wide after he said that. He doesn't even care about my own opinions. I tried catching up to him as fast as I can until a teacher stopped me and said," No running in the hallway, young lady" I stopped running but instead of running I run walk. He was too fast to catch up he was already in his class. I looked at him outside he door and gave him an angry look and shook my head he pretends like he didn't saw it but I know he did. I rolled my eyes. I wonder how Ryan made a friend like him he's such a freak.
It was finally lunch time, I saw Ryan and his friends I tired ignoring them. I can sense River coming towards me my heart started to pound faster.
"Yo, Rane" stupid River.
"What?" I can feel like I said that like I'm annoyed which is good because I am.
"Don't tell me that you're mad at me" I am.
"River, I don't want to sit nor hangout with you and your friends I'm fine by my own"
"So what you mean is you don't want to hang out with Ryan too?" I stood up, left my lunch and walked away. Does he not know the meaning of "no" He should understand that no means no. I was walking towards my locker I saw Ryan with River. I walked the other way. I looked back and I only saw River I wonder where Ryan went. I looked back to the way I'm going I saw Ryan standing in front of me.
"Rane, I'm sorry. I overheard you guys talking and I'm sorry that he doesn't respect your opinion"
"Rane come on your just being dramatic" he laughed. I looked at Ryan and he laughed too. I slapped Ryan then walk towards the girls bathroom stall crying. Maybe he's right I'm just being dramatic and overthinking but why? Ryan looked like he was a new person not the Ryan I used to know. Why do we keep arguing? Am I the problem?
