The Killer Within (A Future Diary Fanfic)

Chapter 1: Past

Aoyama's POV

Sunday March 6th, 10:00 PM

I lied in a bed, staring at the ceiling of the guest room my friend let me stay in. But I should probably explain how I got here.

When I was little, I remember playing with my big sister, Yuno. We'd always run around the house, laughing and screaming, chasing each other. As Yuno got older, she started going to school. I remember how she would get home late and my parents yelling at her.

For her punishment, they'd lock her in a cage. I felt sad for her wanting her to come and play but my parents never would let her. They'd keep her locked up for two hours.

As we both got older, Yuno got fed up with being locked up,so when my parents got home, she locked them in the same cage. But instead of leaving them in there for two hours, she left them in there for days. Oh sure, she's bring them food and water, but she would never let them out.

One time I tried to let them out. As I was picking the lock, I felt hand cover my mouth, dragging me to my room. Shutting the door behind, Yuno looked down at me. I slowly looked up at her, my blank gaze turning to one of fear as I saw her expression.

She told me not to mess with mom or dad. She told me they were going to be punished for a while. This frightened me a little, because when she told me this,something snapped inside her. Something terrifying and insane.

Months passed and my parents were still locked up. Eventually, years passed and my parents died. I was so sad I cried for days.Yuno, on the other hand, was upset, but had an insane smile on her face.

"I guess they got punished more than I wanted." Yuno chuckled.She then grabbed a knife and told me to go to my room. I did as told,hearing Yuno humming as she sliced through something. I come out to get a drink and find blood all over the floor. I looked at the cage that contained my dead parents and nearly screamed,seeing their skulls outside the cage.Yuno came back and picked up the skulls.

"Don't tell a soul what happened here Aoyama, got it?" She said in her sweet innocent voice before going off into the shadows of the hall and entering a room.

Weeks passed, our parents bodies still rotting in the cage. I was working on my homework when I heard Yuno going on and on about some boy. I believe his name was Yukki? I rolled my eyes. In my opinion, I thought love was stupid. Anyways, she clutched a bloody knife in her hand, telling me about some people trying to harm Yukki. She looked at her phone,then scowled angrily before running off, screaming "YUKKI!!!"

Days passed before Yuno returned.

"Oh Aoyama, you need to get out more. Grab an axe and go kill something, anything. It's a fun hobby you know." Yuno told me one day

I shook my head "No thanks Yuno, I'm good."

Yuno shrugged, "Suit yourself." She then talked to our dead parents before running off again

A month later,Yuno told me she wouldn't be here for a while.She said she was going out with Yukki so I said "Ok."

After that, she never returned.

Later on I found out she killed herself for Yukki so he could be some ruler or something. I also learned that her phone was called a diary and that she was in a game. A deadly survival game..

I would always sit in my room, waiting to hear my parents as Yuno argue, and hearing Yuno going on about Yukki.It never happened.

I didn't want to accept the fact that I was by myself. But I was. I hated being alone in my house. It was quiet.Not just any kind of quiet though,an eerie, creepy kind of quiet. So when I was fourteen,I moved in with my best friend Baiorette and her parents.

I sometimes visit my creepy house, where my parents still sit the cage, the dead bodies in the backyard still buried. But I must say, I can't stand this place and it will one day fall.But until that day, I'll continue to visit.

So here I am now, listening to music,thinking about my past when I feel my phone vibrate. I check to look at it,then my eyes widen in fear. A future diary entry, updating constantly.

I guess it's now my turn to be in this deadly game.

Time to kill...
