my favorite candy is blue and red
it doesn't have a sweet taste, and keeping it on my tongue for too long makes it bitter
but it's my favorite candy
except
it's not really candy
but i swallow handfuls like they're m&ms
i swallow until the bottle is gone and i'm lying on my bed, tugging at the bed sheets and screaming into my pillow from pain.
funny, it's supposed to take away my pain
yet it brings me the most from one or two gulps
it's not candy
they're pills
