However, her Godfather Marciano was there to take care of her after the death of her parents. He became her father. But that is still not enough. We cannot say some things, we can only confess to a father and a mother. But she no longer has a mother.

And she also has no siblings. YES, Dina was there without her own father too, but they did not get along. Her mother, Marciano's cousin, died of cancer. So, when Ava was eight years old and Marciano also adopted her niece Dina ten years old by then, they lived together in the same house.

But they have never been that close to each other. Every time they face each other and get close, they always collide. Sometimes they even fight like dogs and cats.

Harry didn't think she is one member of the syndicate that wants to kill him as well as his family.

But Ava could not take revenge on the man she loved for the first time. Even his family is as good as him. She thought she could always beat Dina and be the heir of his godfather. She just wants something simple.

Just to be with Harry always and to be a good wife to him. To have children and live a simple but happy life.

Just like Harry's family.

The next day, it surprised Ava that Celia was already cooking a lot with some neighbors with her.

Later, Harry told her they will go to the Municipality. He even bought a dress for her.

"Why are we going to the municipality?"

"We'll get married."

"No way, you're joking, right?"

"We're really getting married, Ava," Harry said seriously to her.

Ava was stunned. She looked into Harry's eyes. She wanted to think that it was just a joke. But she thinks that it's not.

"Why, Ava? Having a second thought? Don't you want to marry me?"

"I do. But you surprised me, Harry." She says. She seemed to be suddenly having cold feet.

"After what happened to us, isn't it just fair and right for us to get married?"

"Is that the only reason you will marry me?"

"One reason." Harry corrected her. "But the most obvious reason is that I love you and I will not let you go. Never, Ava."

She seemed to cry when she hugged her boyfriend.

Carding has connections in the municipality, so there is no need for them to secure a marriage license. After his father talked to his acquaintance, they held the wedding ceremony.

One of their Godfather is the Captain of Vista Alegre.

Ava was excited. She's now Mrs. Ava San Diego.

But maybe she would be happier if her godfather Marciano was here. But she knew it could not happen.

They got married at ten-thirty. It took till past eleven o'clock after the ceremony ended. And they return for home.

Lots of guests in the backyard. That's where the big table is set. Eventually, Harry pulled her by the hand.

"Why?"

"Let's go inside."

"But how about the guests?"

"Dad and mom will take care of it."

He obeyed Harry. He led her to their room on the second floor. Even before Harry could close the door, he heard his father's voice downstairs.

"Harry?"

"Dad."

"Oliver is here."

"OK, I'm going down." Harry's voice was hesitant.

"This Oliver's is really wrong timing."

"Come on, go down," Ava said to her husband with a laugh.

"I'm going down but you just stay here, ok? Don't you dare go down?"

"Yes."

Their room has its own bathroom, so when her husband came out, Ava took a shower.

She fell asleep in their bed when she heard footsteps.

"Harry? Is that you?"

"Who else do you think?" the man said to her after climbing on the bed and locking her in his arms.

And he silenced her with a passionate kiss pressed on her lips.

"How about your guests?"

" Never mind them, I ran away."

"What? Are you not ashamed of leaving them there?"

"No, let them go. They should have gone home earlier, but it's already three o'clock in the afternoon and they were still here, so I ran away."

"Yay! " Harry's kiss on the nape made her scream.

"S-shh .."

"Don't kiss me on that part. It's embarrassing if I scream"

She struggled, but the man did not let her go. Instead, he bathed her with a kiss on the face before an aggressive kiss on her lips again. Her husband hugged her, and she fell on the bed. When Harry turned around, it pressed Ava down on the bed.

The bed was soft.

"What?"

"I missed you so much, Ava."

"Mister, we just got together."

"Yeah, but I missed you right away."

"When are we going back to City?"

Harry's face immediately darkened at what she said.

"Why are you thinking of returning to the City right away?"

"I'm just thinking about your job?"

"We will be back to the City a day after tomorrow. But for now, I want to forget all my connections to the City, as well as my job."

"Why?"

"I just want to kiss and touch you. To make love with you."

Harry's lips touch hers.

"Let's go back to the City-"

"Oh, I thought you didn't want us to talk about that?" says Ava.

"I just want to make sure you stay in my apartment."

She was stunned by what Harry said. Of course. They are married now. Will she still live in the Townhouse given to her by her Godfather Marciano?
