"Oh this is bad..."

What did she do now?

"What did you do?" Please god, don't let it be something stupid that I have to take responsibility for, as always.

"This is so stupid, please you need to help me!" There we go...

"Why? What did you do?" I asked, trying not to sound too annoyed with her, even though could not have been the first time she had forgotten something. I can actually remember about five instances of the top of my head, when it came to Sumina being all over the place like that. Once in second year, when she lost her wand in the train station, so I had to get out of the train again to find it. Almost missed the train this one year. The things you do for a good friend, right?

"I forgot my DADA book for this year, and we are going to have a new teacher! He is going to have such a bad impression on me." The way she sounded like it really bothered here spoke to my conscience, and so I heard myself say: "What if I where the one that forgot her book? I mean, I don't even like Defense against the dark arts. It would make sense for me to not think of it, no?"

When she looked at me, I remembered why I was doing this. She looked at me with the biggest puppy eyes.

"You would do that for me? Thank you so much, Saeva! You must have the best heart in all of Slytherin!" She did sound truly thankful, so I would just have to swallow that pill later on.

This little thing would not be able to dull the excitement I felt over going back to Hogwarts. Afterall, it was my sixth year there, and not one before failed to be great. Sure, I hadn't found a lot of friends there, but the ones I did make there, have never let me down.

Sumira, or sum-sum, as a lot of people called her, was one of them.

If I remember right, it must have been in second year, when I found her crying on the floor of the girl's bathroom, the one on the sixth floor, if I recall correctly. Hufflepuffs have a reputation of being nice, but the boys that were being mean to her made one beg to differ.

I can still see her sobbing with red eyes trying to tell me that they were making fun of her red poufy hair, and that they pulled on it. I felt really bad for her, as one does, and the next time they would try something on her I would stand with her.

Of course, that alone didn't make them stop. On the contrary actually, because they just made fun of me too for having acne. But at least we stood together. That makes it less bad.

I am not sure if we have grown that much, character wise, from what they did. But these days her hair was falling in beautiful fiery waves, and my skin was clear of any pimple that might have been there, so suck on that, I guess.

Deep in my thoughts, I hadn't realized how tired I felt from standing up early again after the brake, but I must have fallen asleep. I only awoke when we were already at the Hogsmeade station.

I had been so deeply slumbering in fact, I even missed the train stopping once on the journey.

Later, when we were already inside the big castle that was Hogwarts, Sum-sum and I found Tia. She was the third and last of our group.

We were waving at her, as we saw her walking towards us into the direction of the Great Hall. But after a little hug and some how-have-you-beens, we had to split up to walk to our tables.

Sum- sum was a Hufflepuff, through and through, so she didn't mind sitting at the table under the yellow banners. And Tia was, although really quiet and more of a Hufflepuff-ish person, in Gryffindor house. So, I went to the table where the students, including me, were wearing green.

Now, I wasn't really a liked person in Slytherin. They either didn't care about me, or they didn't really like me. I didn't look good in their, our, house, with my opinions and ideals.

For example, I was a poor liar. I have just never been good at it.

I am way more familiar with the truth, which sometimes goes to lengths of me being able to tell a lie. But it only works when it wants to. I have not yet really learned hoe to "control" it. I didn't want to be made into a living lie detector.

I was sitting at the lower end of the table, far away from the teachers. I couldn't see them well, so I didn't pay much attention, when a new professor was introduced. I would meet him sooner or later.

I also tried to ignore some of the remarks I heard about me.

Stuff like: "I think there should be such a thing as rehousing. for our yellow snake over there!"

If I could be of service, by making them laugh so be it. It still stung, though. I wasn't really immune to everything they were saying. I have heard meaner. Believe me.

"...Sirius Black close to Hogwarts!" Now Dumbledore's loud voice made me interested. Had I missed something? Sirius Black was near Hogwarts?

If it where true this could be my chance to get revenge.

"Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban?" I asked the person next to me. I couldn't believe it. How would he have been able to do that?

"have you been living under a rock? He's been out for some days now. Someone said he saw him in the area surrounding Hogwarts." I guess I must have been. How could I have missed something like that?

I didn't get to thank the boy who told me, because the food was served and I think he was occupied enough by that. I wasn't really hungry, but sneaking away wouldn't go unnoticed, so I stayed and nibbled on an apple until it was over.

When the other students were finally done with eating, and were all trying to get back to their dorms, I decided to stay until after most students would already me gone, so I wouldn't have to squeeze through the corridors.

Being now able to stand up without running into someone every other step, I wandered off. And while the Slytherin common room had for sure been my goal, I saw myself wandering around more than I would have to to get straight there.

More than I was aloud to actually, as I felt someone tuning me around by my shoulder.

I got scared. So, I reacted fast.

I turned around and just punched whatever it was that had touched me from behind.

"Arg! Fuck!" I could hear the man, as I was able to see now, groan, as he was holding his nose.

"Oh god! I am so sorry! You scared me! I am so sorry!" I just kept on apologising until he showed me with a move of is hand that he was okay. So, I asked him to show me his face where I hit him. It was only now that I got a better look at him.

He had dark honey coloured eyes and light brown dishevelled hair.I also noticed that he looked a little tired, and that he had scars running straight across his face.

I hadn't ever seen him before.
