Though Sabrina moves to the left giving the two space, Lenda still decides to lightly bump into her before sitting down.
"Oh.Sorry."Gritting her teeth she tightly clenches her fingers to a fist.
Sabrina knew better than to forgive intentional mistakes. There was no need to for the 'it's okay' dialogue with a soft smile. It was frustrating when people pushed her around unreasonably. This was just another attempt were they are uplifting themselves by putting others down. It was childish. Yet there was everyone enjoying this. What should she do now? Start an argument ? Entertain the whole class?' Dammit...'
That wasn't an option. She definitely didn't want to make a fool out of herself by trying to fight a challenge she had already lost. I mean how could she get away with pissing off this girl when there was such a viscous looking guy with her?
She turns and looks at everyone with piercing eyes, they all avert their gaze slightly shocked by her sudden change of personality .
'Sickening' she thinks to her herself. She did say she was going to move....
but where to?!
All seats were taken, except one. The desk right in front of the couple.
'Great. '
'The rest of the day is going to be uncomfortable as hell.'
She could feel everyone's stares as she sat down her back facing the girl and placed the bag on the chair , surely this sit wasn't also taken. She was now certain some students will approach her with ungenerous intentions, and she would have to deal with them alone.
" Fuck it. " she murmurs as she stares at the wall ahead of her making a few people around her look at her in a confused manner .She always though that she had a intimidating air around her, but guess she was wrong. That dissapointed her, she liked the idea of being unapproachable, it would have been peaceful. The guy she just saw, he had that dangerous kind of vibe around him.
'Intriguing... 'He did meet her requirement of being handsome, extremely handsome at that!
But...
'NO.'
He wasn't it. She knew these kind of people all too well.
But it wouldn't matter anyway, he was taken.
More like he already has someone for the time being.'He even looks like a playboy. Can't she tell? Does she like being toyed with?'
'Kinky.'
A humourless smirk on her face.
She used to personally know a few spoiled rich kids like Lenda herself . They were always so full of themselves yet so naive of the harsh reality of the world they lived in. Protected all life and caged in a castle by their parents and when they step outside, it's like a cub stepping into a jungle. A jungle that looks familiar, you think of it as your home. So welcoming. So seemingly peaceful and quiet. Little do they know wild, menacing predators lurk behind the shadows.
This is why despite being lion cubs, some don't survive because being a lion itself isn't what makes them dangerous, it's the power they hold once they grow that makes everyone tremble in fear. And these cubs are yet to grow, time is needed, time to adapt to the harsh emviroment, time to adapt to the harsh reality, time to understand the ones around them, time to get used to get hunted and start to go hunting ,time to grow.Don't be mistaken.
Here, the pretador isn't evil, and the cub isn't a victim because realistically, at end of the day, what truly matters is your own life. If they don't hunt the cub, it will end up hunting them once it discovers the power it holds. This is the rule of the jungle.
Survival of the fittest. The ones that get hunted are seen as victims . But in reality they are all predators, some just couldn't find a prey and ended up being hunted instead .
Human society was a prime example. The ones that hold power dominate the weaker ones. There's nothing wrong that. Why? Because if the weaker one was given the power , can you guarantee that they wouldn't do the same?
This is the inevitable truth.
Humans are self-centered .
And they should be.
That's the way to survive.
Think of your own benefit.
Be realistic.'... '
' Wonder how long he will play with her before casting her away.Whatever ain't any of my business.'
Sabrina looks around her eyes searching for a clock.
9:15.This was her first day but...
'Just were is the teacher?!'
she silently protests as everyone chatters their time away. She couldn't bear with this anymore, she was in such a bad mood . She has had nothing but negative thoughts flooding her mind since the morning. She wanted to be in a quiet place. But that was obviously too much to ask from these new classmates. She could hear them, people had started gossiping about the incident that just acurred.
'They do realise I can clearly hear them right? '
'...'
She honestly didn't care much , yet she couldn't help but feel annoyed as they seemed to refuse to acknowledge her presence in the room. She crossed her arms and leaned back on her chair after putting in some white airpods to block off all the barking.
Peaceful.
She loved listening to music. She would listen to uplift her mood when she was down, motivate herself when she was unmotivated, listen for company when she was lonely, and sometimes, she would listen to confort herself, the lyrics desplayed her feelings perfectly, it was almost as if the songs were made for her. She shut her eyes carefully listening to every line while smiling.Meanwhile the door was once again opened. A familiar figure entered the room gaining cheers and a few gasps from the class. Obviously that excludes Sabrina who was lost in her own world, that's until she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder.
'Sigh'
'What now?'
She turns back and looks up, her eyes meet his. They were Black. Nothing out of the ordinary, but they were sweet and gentle .
' This one is beautiful...' she says as stares at the boy who signals her to move her bag. So she does. The man greets the two behind and sits in front of Jackson before turning and speaking to her. She couldn't quite make out what he was saying until she took her airpods out .
Wow.
His voice was quite unique, honey like, rather feminine for such a masculine looking guy .
''The new student right? I am Justin. ''
'' Sabrina. Nice to meet you. ''
''Drop the formalities. We are together for God knows how long so i hope we get along. You mind me talking to you ? You comfortable talking to me ? " he asks still smiling and patiently waiting for an answer. He looked quite sincere. She liked that.
"Don't mind at all." she smiles back .
He seemed like he wanted to continue the conversation but of course the teacher had to interrupt. Just how bad could her luck get? He was half an hour late, why did he even come? Just had to ruin the moment didn't he? But it was alright, she had the whole day to chat with him.
"Alright class, so we have a new student. Please introduce yourself. "
Sabrina looks around for a moment forgetting she was the new student the teacher was taking about.
'Oh shit'
She quickly stands up and gives a short introduction about herself before sitting down once more. She could feel a few staring at her, some seemed curious whereas others looked
unbothered. She turns around to see him looking at her with a slight, almost unnoticeable smirk.
'What the - ' is she starting to imagine things ?
'This guy, is he flirting?'
'Well damn'
She gives a smile before facing forward as the teacher speaks once again.'Quite lucky aren't I? ' Sabrina grins as she looks at the gorgeous boy sitting beside her, there was a chance for something between them. They could definitely become friends. Or at least that's what she was hoping for.
