dear journal: today started out just like any other day my looking for food and a place to stay to get out of the cold i had saw a store i went into the store and i had took some food to eat and some stuff to stay alive but i had got caught i had ran into an old barn where i was staying since my mother had died from tuberculosis and my stepfather had left town for Arizona leaving me on the streets to fend for myself Chavez followed me into the old barn and put his coat around my shoulders and took me to meet Mr. John Tunstall who gave me a safe and warm place to stay and to live and some food to eat and some new clothes to ware and a job working on his ranch for once in my life i was happy and safe and care for since after my mother had died from tuberculosis don't get me wrong i still love my mother and i know that she is happy to know that i now have a safe place to live now, Halloween is coming up soon and Mr. Tunstall is planning a party for us and that is going to be fun.
