UPDATE: CECILIA DIDNT MANIPULATE FIRE LIKE SHE HAD IN THE PAST - I CHANGED IT
➸ FIRST TASKAS THE MORNING OF THE FIRST TASK DAWNED, Cecilia's nerves were tinged with a hint of uncertainty. Seeking solace, she spent a few precious moments with Willow, her gentle cat, whose soothing purrs seemed to calm her racing thoughts. The tension in the air was subtle but noticeable, but with Willow by her side, Cecilia felt a sense of tranquility wash over her.
The castle corridors were abuzz with excitement as students hurried to their classes, their conversations and whispers filling the air. The prospect of the task ahead was both thrilling and nerve-wracking, and everyone was eager to get a glimpse of it. As Cecilia made her way to her Herbology lesson, she was met with an outpouring of good luck wishes and words of encouragement from her friends and classmates.
The morning flew by in a blur, and before she knew it, Cecilia was making her way to lunch. "Adwell!" Blaise called out once she came into view in the Hall, whistling at her. "You look good."
Cecilia smiled, feeling a flutter of pride as she gazed down at her champion tracksuit. The mostly black fabric was accentuated by silver stripes that added a touch of elegance to her overall look. Over it, her champion robes shimmered in shades of green and silver, with the bold letters "ADWELL" emblazoned across the back. She felt a sense of confidence and belonging as she walked into the Great Hall, ready to take on the day.
"The first task has to be mad," Theo said, his brow furrowed with concern as he looked at Cecilia. "Just looking at the arena alone is scary."
Cecilia chuckled softly at his worried expression, finding it endearing. Meanwhile, Blaise's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. "I'm so excited!" he exclaimed. "The tournament was interesting enough, but having a friend participating in it? Whew, this year has been the best year yet!"
Cecilia's friends, donning their simple SUPPORT CECILIA ADWELL badges, buzzed with excitement and pride around her. The badges emitted a gentle hum as they displayed their colors, a vibrant green and silver that matched Cecilia's champion robes.
"Think you're ready?" Malfoy asked, his gaze piercing hers with an intensity that made Cecilia's skin prickle. His eyes seemed to bore into hers, but she couldn't quite decipher the emotion behind them. She fell silent for a few moments, her mind racing to process his unusual behavior.
"Yes, I am," she said finally, her voice firm and resolute. It was the truth; she was ready to face whatever lay ahead.
Malfoy didn't respond with words, but instead let out a low, skeptical scoff. His eyes drifted off in the distance, as if lost in thought, leaving Cecilia wondering what was really going on behind those guarded eyes.
As they sat together at the table, Tracey's concern etched itself on her face. Her brown eyes searched Cecilia's, and she asked, "How are you doing?" Cecilia's fingers fumbled with her fork, her appetite deserting her.
