Imagine a robotic hound suddenly is not programmed to work for the government anymore. Imagine it could feel emotions, and it went rogue and tore a man to shreds in Fahrenheit 451. What if the Mechanical Hound becomes friends with Montag, a man who was destined to become the robot's biggest foe? This could all have happened if the Mechanical Hound started feeling emotions like the robot Sunni from the movie 'I, Robot.'
It was a cold, dark afternoon when the Mechanical Hound broke out of the fire department. The wall started collapsing due to the force the hound had hit it with. It looked like there was an extremely powerful earthquake that made the wall collapse. You may be thinking why a robot would cause all that havoc. It's just a robot, it can't feel any pain, anger, love, or fear. It's just a piece of machine made in a factory and programmed to do specific tasks. But this robot was different. It could think, socialize, feel emotions, and even have dreams. It was almost like a human, shaped like a dog that had a heart made out of batteries, screws, and pieces of scrap metal. His name was Snowy. As he lurked in the shadows in the empty streets of Central City, he was feeling a lot of emotions. He was angry at the government for controlling him, using him to hunt fugitives, as if he was just an ordinary Joe like all the other Mechanical Hounds. He knew deep down, that he was different, unique from all the other hounds created. He headed straight to his creator's house.
Once he arrived, his creator, an old, pale man named Arnold Smith, welcomed him. Around half an hour later, while he was sitting on the couch in the living room with Arnold watching TV and eating microchips containing nano battery packs that charge him up, out of the blue, a dark figure appeared out of thin air. It was shaped like a tall, muscular man. This so-called figure suddenly approached Arnold and said: "your time has come old man." With that, he whipped out a sharp knife and stuck it right in the creator's heart. Blood started seeping through his white lab coat, making it crimson red. Arnold collapsed on the floor, with blood pumping from his heart into his esophagus, making his mouth gush blood out. It looked like he was bathing in a pool made of his own blood; and with his last breath, he told Snowy that he was like a son to him. His heart stopped pounding, his eyes closed, his body relaxed, he stopped breathing. Arnold had always wondered whether the soul went directly up the sky into heaven or hell when the person died, or if it stayed in the body for a few minutes before escaping it. Well, today was his lucky day because that question was going to be answered...
The poor and innocent creator had been murdered in cold blood. Snowy was terrified. He couldn't believe what his machine bluish glass eyes were projecting. He felt like he had lost part of himself. It was like the whole world had frozen but him. He cried as the figure broke the window and fled the brutal scene. Snowy was alert again; he jumped out of the window chasing the man. Since it was dark outside, he activated the night vision mode in his eyes. There was a getaway car parked on the corner of Newton's Lane Avenue. The maleficent man got in and all thanks to the driver, sped away... Unfortunately, Snowy had to stop chasing the fast car, due to his battery being almost out of juice. Snowy was now pissed. He felt like he was a failure because he couldn't save Arnold, the only family he ever had. On top of that, he wasn't able to catch whoever murdered Arnold and avenge his death. Despite the fact that he didn't catch the psychopath of a man who killed Arnold, Snowy made a promise to himself that he wouldn't rest until he found that man and ended him...
Since he needed to recharge in order to get back on his feet, he decided to go to the only man Arnold ever trusted for help. Arnold's friend was called Guy Montag, a fireman who Snowy had once been assigned to accompany on a few missions, to burn books found in peoples' houses; before Guy Montag had quit his job. As soon as Snowy arrived at Guy's house, he lied down on the couch and started crying. Guy asked him what was going on. The poor dog replied: "Arnold is dead and it's all thanks to me. He created me to be special and to help him and I couldn't even save his life or hunt down the man who killed him," as tears were falling down his cold metal face. Montag was shocked. He couldn't believe what had happened, he wanted to just sit there and cry as well, but he knew he had to get Snowy's hopes up. "Hey, don't blame yourself. It wasn't your fault. The person we should be blaming is the unforgivable man who murdered Arnold. We must find him and make sure he gets thrown in jail for life for what he did," said the ex-fireman. Montag knew why the mysterious man had killed Arnold. The reason why was because the old man had owed these two guys about $25,000, which he used to modify Snowy and make him the unique dog he is today. He kept delaying these guys because he couldn't pay the debt. Those men couldn't wait any longer and so they killed poor Arnold. But Guy couldn't tell Snowy why the man killed his creator because that would make him think he is responsible for Arnold's death which would lead to him hate himself.
Snowy's batteries died. Montag hurried to the other room to get the charger. Since it would take a long time for the robot to fully charge, Guy decided to go get some sleep. Later that night, Montag woke up and went to the kitchen to get some water. He felt a rush of cold air come into the room, so he closed the window. Unexpectedly, someone broke through the window. Guy was far more than terrified. The tall figure who had supposedly killed Arnold was now standing in front of him. The scary man pulled out a gun at Guy Montag and shot him in the middle of his forehead. Snowy was fully charged. At the sound of the gunshot, he unplugged himself to see Montag, the only friend he had left lying on the ground, dead with the same tall figure he had seen earlier standing on top of him. Snowy was far more than pissed. He charged at the murderer and knocked him onto the floor. He started ripping the man piece by piece with his sharp titanium teeth. The more he heard the man scream in agony, the more he tore his flesh apart...
The sun was shining through the window of the room in the hospital. Arnold woke up. He had been in a coma for a month, due to the plane crash that happened when he was going on an exotic vacation to Hawaii. "Nurse, where is Snowy," shouted the confused man. The nurse brought him his white-furred Morkie, baby puppy. He held the teacup-sized dog in his hands. "Oh Snowy, you wouldn't believe the dream I had," said Arnold. "Ruff, ruff," barked the tiny dog...
