Jace's POV

Its been a week since ive seen Clover, I know I dont know her but when ever my mind runs out of things to think about and there is a blank space, she seems to fill it. Her terror striken scream and the look on her parents faces as I turned up at their door with their traumatized daughter in my arms. She hasnt been at school either. Should I go and see her? that would seem so derisory regarding the fact I dont even know her. I heard a knocking on my bedroom door, 'Jace, your mother wants you to go and talk to her.' squeaked the maid. 'Pretty sure she could come and tell me that her self, lazy git.' I thought to my self, but replied with 'okay coming.'. I hopped off my bed, throwing the half completed homework into the corner of my room and proceeded to find out what my mum wanted.

'Who is Clover?' she snapped, 'What?' I gasped, her hand shot up, holding a piece of parchement. A frown spread across my face, 'Its a letter, from a girl called Clover, written in it is how her parents and her self couldnt be more grateful for saving her from being mugged and potentally worse.' my mum snapped again, was she seriously mad? 'I dont exactly need to explain anything if it is all there.' I replied, 'Why didnt you tell me?' she hissed, I nodded my head in realisation, she doesnt care id done something good but cares that I didnt tell her. 'It just didnt seem relevant to come up in all of those conversations we never have.' I sneered back. 'You're lucky charges werent pressed for almost killing the man, his information is in there to.' she said while slamming the letter onto the dining room table and walked away back into the living room to catch up on one of her monotonous tv programs.

I took a few steps closer to the table and picked up the worn paper, I unfolded it and red it'Hi Jace, sorry this isnt a very formal way to start a letter but how else am I supposed to start it? 'Dear Jace' ha no. Well anyway, my family and I couldnt be more grateful for helping me out the other day, goodness knows what could of happened if you werent there. The man has been jailed for assult and mugging for a few months, im not sure precisely. His name is 'James' incase you were wondering. I havent been to school this week, I dont know if you have noticed. But im still a bit dazed by it all, I dont really fancy walking alone anymore, again thank you a tonne. Id like to see you again sometime, Clover.' I was suprised at how positively everything was written, well im glad she is doing  okay.

'Howz it goin!' came Connors voice from down the hallway, I shoved the letter in my pocket, startled to where on earth Connor had appeared from. 'What that?' Conner shouted again, now right behind me and picking at the corner of the letter poking out, 'Oh its nothing-' I started, I might as well tell him. After a good ten minutes Id finally finished explaining what had happened, for some reason Connor wanted every detail of Clover until he new who I was talking about. 'Oh my I think its the girl in my tutor! well it must be, she is the only Clover in our year. She is cute but so quiet, in all 4 years of being at that school I have never heard her talk.' he said, then teased 'you are soooo her knight in shining armour! I bet shes super in love with you now'. 'Very funny, but I barely know her, in total ive literally spent about 2 hours talking to her. 'What you havent seen her since?' he asked, 'No' I responded, 'why not?' he asked, confused. 'Why should I?' he replied, 'well do you want to see her again?' he asked again, his deep eyes studying me. I opened my mouth to say something but shut it again, looking down, 'exactly, go see her man, not now though, I want a game on the xbox.' He grinned.

Clovers POV

'So when will you be back at school?' Evie asked concerned, her jet black eye lined wings raising just as her eye brows did. 'Yeh we miss you!' Said Wren and Felicty in unison, while munching on pizza. 'ha guys its only been a week, and on Monday.' I said, my stomach dropped in realisation that Monday was only 2 days away, im hoping I dont develop a fear of walking alone. 'Everything okay?' Wren said, placing his hand on my shoulder, 'I just dont want to walk alone anymore, I cant walk with you guys because you all take the bus' I complained. 'What about Jace?' Felicity added perkily, 'I dont know if he would want to, I suck at making conversation and im way too awkward to ask him in the first place.' I explained, 'Didnt you write in your letter you wanted to see him again?' winked evie, 'Yes but that was super risky, and besides it was my mums idea!' I replied, taking a bite out my my pizza slice.

I was so glad they were staying round tonight, I couldnt do another night alone in my room, having done nothing all day. By 2am Felicity,Wren and Evie were all asleep practically in a heep. I was about to drift off and dream of the inevitable when my phone began to flash. A text from an unknown number appeared, 'Hi its Jace, sorry for the late reply I didnt realise you wrote your number on the back of the letter, but yeh I hope you are doing okay' it red, I frowned, I didnt write my number on the back, I rolled my eyes in realisation, must of been my mum. 'Hi! im doing a lot better thank you.' I texted back, totally unsure of how to carry on the conversation. I decided to leave it and ask my friends in the morning.

The smell of pancakes was what drifted me out of my deep sleep, I always sleep like a log. 'Pancakes!everyone! I smell pancakes!' jumped up Felicity, sometimes her livelyness makes me want to stand up and slap her in the face, but I love her to pieces. 'Shut the hell up Felicity its probably like 5 am' moaned Evie, 'Urm actually guys its 11:30, we have almost slept half the day away.' I grinned, 'Someone wake Wren up' Felicity whispered this time. After 5 minutes of prodding Wren we were finally downstairs and munching on pancakes.

Jaces's POV

'P.s Id love to see you again to ;)' I texted Clover, 'Stop being so confident.' she replied, 'What?' I texted with a smirk on my face, 'it intimidates me' she texted back, my phone then beeped a second time 'OH GOD thats embarassing I didnt text that it was my friend!' I laughed a loud, 'But do I really intimidate you?' I asked, 'No' she replied, I wondered if I really did.
