MAYA's POV

Right, I can't be swayed by the fact that I am actually going to facilitate my ex's wedding. I never imagined that life could be this ironic, but why not? Life is full of surprises.

But he is my first love! And we haven't seen each other for 8 years. Not that we need to see each other, but how wide could South Korea be that we've never crossed paths for once?

Sigh. So this is how my first love ends?

My heart had a tinge of pain. Maybe the delusional part of me still wished for a part two of our relationship, because for Christ's sake that's the only relationship I had in my 26 years of existence!

"Director Su? Is anything wrong?"

My thoughts were pulled back to reality by the head steward's voice. "Yes?"

"You were sighing Ma'am, do you feel any discomfort somehow? Or is there something about the cabin that you didn't like? Do you perhaps want a different one?" He asked again.

I thought I was sighing in my head, but I guess I really did that unconsciously. "No, I'm perfectly fine. Let me take it from here. Thank you so much."

He then handed me my cabin key and hesitated on leaving, but I gave him a reassuring smile. "Go take care of the guests. If any problem arises, do not hesitate to inform me."

"Speaking of which, President Kim have already done some quick patches as soon as he came so everything is settled." The head steward said.

"You mean Kim Namjoon?"

He nodded with a smile.

"Right. Who else is President Kim except Kim Namjoon?" I chuckled at my own stupidity. "But I didn't know he'd be here," I added as I finally shifted my focus on the key card before giving him a dismissing smile.

The familiar scent of vanilla welcomed me as I entered my cabin. Everytime I realize how the housekeeping service is putting so much effort on the details of every guest, I can't help but be proud. It was my idea that every room must have a different scent, depending on the guest's preference rather than the usual in-house scent. Small detail, but would surely make everyone comfortable.

And as the scent seeps into my system, fatigue also started to flush over me. The idea of meeting my first love for the first time gave me a sleepless night, and all of my stress from the days before are now getting the best of me. After all, I just arrived from China, and now I'm setting off again.

I let my luggage roll towards the bedside as I made my way to the welcoming bed. Barely managing to remove my shoes, I decided to take a nap.

"I always considered you as my trophy. But I guess everything ends for the better. It's goodbye for now Maya. See you around."

She clenched her teeth while wiping the tears that have escaped unknowingly. How could someone play with someone's feelings just like that?

It was painful, but life must go on. That was her first heartbreak, but at least she knew how it felt. And after making up her mind, she pressed some buttons. Delete. Block.
