A/n: Alright so this is my first ever fanfic, don't come attacking me on grammar or anything haha. There will definitely be some inaccurate things about this story and I hope you guys don't mind that I made things different because I just wanted to write using a prompt I made up for myself. I suck at writing and there will probably be sooooooo many  repetitive parts and you're just gonna have to work with me here, I might come back to edit mistakes, I might not, and I honestly don't know if anyone will ever read this so like, if you are, enjoy!

Light explored the new town, eyes darting from one place to another. It was filled with life. Her attention diverted to the flower shop she would soon work in and she smiled to herself. Oh how blissful she was. Her eyes fluttered over to a house, a house that had caught her eye ever since she moved out to this town alone.

The house was a one story and looked as if it had come out of a Studio Ghibli movie, wooden, rustic, and surrounded by plants. Her heart seemed to melt and a smile reached her face as she felt the warm sun on her face. The house gave off the vibes of sipping hot tea in the morning, looking out the window at the rain and knowing that you got to stay inside all day. The house enthralled her to say the least.

She didn't realize how she started to slowly walk toward the scene until she was close enough to see an old lady tending to the garden that surrounded the house. Light enjoyed every little bit of the garden, It was stunning. There were many flowers, roses, hibiscus, lilies, daffodils, and her personal favorite--

"Lily of the valley." A soft but oh-so wise voice says.

Light turned her head to see the beautifully aged women smiling softly at her. Light's mouth fell agape at the figure, she was so, so--

"Youth," Light whispered. The woman raised a brow at her, "You still have much youth in your eyes." Light hums.

The corner of the lady's eyes crinkled as she smiled, as if with her entire heart. She looked so content with life and it showed in her every move. In Light's eyes, this woman was young. She was old--yes--but her soul? Oh how beautifully bright and free it was. The woman stared at her with stars in her eyes. She has many stories, Light thought.

"Oh--why aren't you a sweet one!" The lady laughed. Her laugh ringed through the air, a laugh you could never fake.

"I'm Light, happy to meet ya," She smiled and turned her head to look at the flowers.

"Ah! Light, what a beautiful name! I'm so happy to see such a young one like you out and about," She turned her head to look at the same flowers Light was. "Do you like the flowers? I grew them myself," She quietly added.

Light felt her heart warm up as she heard the lady's voice, you could hear the happiness in her voice, as if you could see her smile even when you're not looking at her.

"They're beautiful," Light pondered for a second, "I love flowers, I'm going to start working at the flower shop right there," Light pointed to the little shop.

"Ah, how wonderful! Oh deary, do you want to come in and have some tea?" Before Light could even respond the woman spoke again, "Oh! Better yet, would you like to sit out on the porch? It's a lovely day today and it would be a shame to miss it, there's a table just there, I shall get tea and scone ready!" The lady excitedly elaborated.

Now it was Light's turn for her eyes to crinkle up as she smiled, her heart melted at the enthusiasm that the woman was showing, she had never felt this warm, this feeling, it was the feeling of waking up while it's raining and you still know you have hours to sleep, or that feeling you get when you're with people you love and it's just peaceful. God did Light love this.
