Chapter 1: Blossoms

Haruno Sakura...

Her name is know by many as she was one of the main reasons the Fourth Great Ninja War was won. She, along with her two teammates Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki, was able to seal the rabbit goddess away and end the war. She is the disciple of the fifth hokage and student to the now reigning sixth. She is also the greatest medical ninja ever and was even stated to have surpassed the Gondaime. Many go as far as to call her a goddess of her own league.

...was now contemplating on whether or not her lover would return and keep his promise. She remembered what he had told her before she left.

"What if I said...I'd go with you"

"This is trip to atone for my sins. My sins have nothing to do with you."

"Nothing to do with me...?"

*Forehead Tap"

"Arigato."

She had just finished her shift at the hospital. She had to stay late because an emergency c-section had just been botched and she needed to save the life of both the mother and child. Luckily, both parties survived.

She was thinking about if he would ever return. It had been two years since he left. They hadn't gotten any letter other than the one's assuring that he was fine.

She didn't give up on him and instead focused on her work. Her and Ino started a children's hospital. Ino kept trying to hook her up with guys, but Sakura kept refusing saying that Sasuke would return. Ino was worried about her. She had moved on from the ravenette and, in doing so, met Sai. He was another member of the Legendary Team 7. At first, he was just a replacement for Sasuke, but as time went on, he became more than family. Ino told Sakura that it wasn't healthy to be held up by a guy.

"My therapist told me that it is inspiring to wait and love him", Sakura said.

"Ya know that she only said that because she basically worships you", Ino replied.

" You should switch her with me."

Sakura sighed. She knew Ino had a rebuttal for everything she did.

'Ok, at least let's go out. There is a new bar that just opened and me and Tenten want to check it out", Ino said.

"I can't", Sakura said.

"Forehead, I know you are still waiting for Sasuke and don't lie. I know you. Sasuke just tapped that huge forehead of yours and left for two year. Do you really think that he is waiting for you? He probably forgot. I love you so much. I don't want you to be hung up on a guy because of a maybe. You need to move on."

"You know what, you're right."

"Wait, what?"

"I said you're right. He probably did forget. I really thought he loved me. Ok, let's go out."
