Chapter 3

Oh, salted caramel. That was the first thing they both liked. Salted caramel. Salted caramel. Logan will probably always remember that word whenever he thought of Roman. It was just a part of Roman now. If  Roman and Logan ever get a dog, or even if they get close to each other. Logan will name it caramel.

Anyway, Logan should stop daydreaming! The nerd and his crush were starting to order their food. Roman obviously ordered himself some salted caramel ice cream in a cone and looked over to the other individual.

"Do you want your ice cream in a cup or cone?"

The jock already knew the other wanted the salted caramel ice cream, since it was both their favorites.

"Oh, in a cone."

He responded quite quickly, not even messing up or blushing just by Roman's eyes looking at him! It defintely didn't feel like he was getting blessed just by having Ro's eyes on him.

The taller person nodded and payed for both of their ice creams. Logan had just gotten his wallet out and turned a bit scarlet from his crush's genorosity.

"Oh, Roman.. I could've bought it myself."

He pulled out the amount of money his ice cream costed and gave it to Roman, but the taller one didn't take it. Roman only smiled softly and shook his head, ruffling Logan's hair a little. That action made the other's face go completely red, looking like he was a tomato, so he quickly hid his face with his hand a little, acting as if he was adjusting his classes or something close that.

Roman's hand was just so gentle and nice, he loved the feeling of it going through his hair. He didn't even care if he messed up his clean hair, which he brushed every 5 minutes just because he was a complete perfectionist.

"It's fine, Lo. I heard you're a bit low on money, so it's fine."

Logan continued to look red, but now it was a bit from embarassment. Why did Roman have to know that? Gah.. He probably looks like a loser and a fool to Ro.. But! It wasn't time to focus on his insecurities, since it looked like Logan was deep in his thoughts right in front of his one and only love.

The jock had noticed that Logan got a bit embarassed and bit his lip. Maybe that wasn't a good thing to say? He knows how many people get nervous around him since he was just so beautiful, majestic, kind, generous and oh how good at- No, not the time to inflate his ego! Not like he was thinking about that so seriously.

Ro chuckled awkwardly and quickly started to talk again, not really wanting to hear something awkward come out of Logan's mouth, since he knew that would happen after this.

"Ah, sorry! I just didn't want to make you worry or something. I shouldn't have said that."

He quickly apologized with a slight pout on his face, since apologizing with a smile kind of felt weird.

After literally a few seconds had passed, the got their ice cream cones and they went outside, sitting down at a bench that had a lovely view to a park that some people were walking in. There were some kids playing tag and hide and seek. And there were a few dog owners. The dogs caught Logan's eye as he beamed a little and looked over to Roman, who was eating his ice cream while enjoying his view. He had his arm on the bench that they were sitting on, so technically, Roman had his arm wrapped around the nerd. Oh, he wished Ro would do that on purpose, but it was clear that that kind of of physical contact woul d be way too early. They were sadly still just friends!

"Hey, do you like dogs?"

Dogs.

That's what Logan thought of talking about with Roman. Hey, maybe they would bond from dogs! Who knows. Leave him alone. He wants to get to talk to his crush and he will try his best to succeed.
