Chapter 3

At home

Chloe was reading her book while her little monkey was sleeping in her big crib. While reading she thought about Lucifer he was different somehow from any ordinary man she met in her life but she still couldn't put a finger why she was for a really long time not realizing that her daughter woke up.

Her daughter started fussing and making noises that said that she's hungry she took her out of the crib and put her near herself so she could drink milk from her breast.

While feeding her daughter she heard her phone vibrating Chloe picked up her phone from her bed and saw that Lucifer was calling her she immediately answered and when she heard his voice she immediately smiled. "Hi Lucifer" Lucifer smiled to himself at hearing her beautiful voice" Hi darling how are you and your daughter ?" Chloe wanted to scream at hearing him call her darling but instead she kept silent so she wouldn't scare him away. " Well I'm quite good next week I'll be studying at the police academy" she proudly stated to her new friend " And what was the reason for you darling to study criminology ?" Lucifer was really curious about her and he wanted to know much more about her.

"My dad was a police officer and so when my father was killed in cold blood  i wanted to follow in his footsteps" Chloe tried not to cry by remembering her father that she really loves. "i'm so sorry for your loss darling" He chastised himself by asking her that question but he couldn't be more happy that she's sharing her past to him even if they don't know each other so well. "Thanks but if not for my father I don't think I would be even following you n his footsteps and I'd still be an actor" Chloe facepalmed herself for telling him that she was an actor.

Before Lucifer could ask her another question her daughter started crying "Sorry Lucifer i have to go if you would like to, you could come and visit us of course if you're not busy" Chloe held her daughter in her arms while supporting her little head so it won't flop backward or forward." I don't want to disturb you and your baby darling" Lucifer told her softly. He tries to ignore his feeling that he gets by talking with her "You know right that you're always welcome since it's your  house" Chloe put her daughter on the carpet so she could play with all of her new  toys that Lucifer  bought. "Darling this house is yours now not mine" When Chloe heard that Lucifer gave this house to her and her daughter she couldn't believe but she asked him to make sure that he will be paying for everything. "Lucifer you know that i can't afford it and i'm already in debt" she panicked because this house worth's thousand and maybe even millions of dollars before she could say anything more Lucifer said "Darling i payed all of your bills and you don't have worry about it, i will pay for everything" he said to reassure her so she won't be panicking anymore.

"Why are you doing this Lucifer we're not even close friends and don't take me wrong i'm thankful what you have done for us  but  it just... no one ever has ever  done this to me." She looked at her daughter and then sighed from everything that has  happened in her life." I  don't know i just find you really interesting and you and your daughter  don't really deserve to live in the streets." He hoped that someday they could be much more that friends but only time will tell. "Oh so you only find me interesting so if i wasn't interesting you wouldn't have helped me and my daughter ?" she teased  him and waited for his answer " NO! of course i would have helped you i just..." He struggled to  say anything else he didn't want her to take anything wrong that could  later become really awkward. "I was just teasing you Lucifer" she started laughing of how much he struggled to say anything.

Lucifer's pov

He heard her laughing at his struggle and went to his bar to get whiskey and before he could say anything the elevator doors opened and he saw his oaf of a brother wearing a gray robe with necklace around his neck " Luci you should go to hell it's not your place to be here on earth with humans" Amenadiel stood there with his wings out and staring at him " Brother can't  you wait until i will be done talking on the phone" Lucifer rolled his eyes and put his phone near his ear so he could properly hear her." Hey darling i'll call you later alright my oaf of a brother visited me and oh yeah i almost forgot that i will come visit you tomorrow"

He waited for her to end the call before he could talk with his brother " Lucifer i don't know but i'm thinking we could go to the park tomorrow" Lucifer heard shyness in her voice and accepted before she could end the call" Of course  maybe we could get to know more about each other " his brother looked at him weirdly and before he could say anything to him Chloe said " It would be  fantastic i'll be waiting for you" They both said their goodbye's and ended the call.

"Luci since when did you started caring about someone ?" Lucifer angrily showed his devil eyes to his  brother not realizing that his glass of whiskey is broken. "Brother just go back to Silver city and tell everyone that i will never ever be going BACK TO HELL" He shouted the last words and waited for his brother to open his wings and fly back to the Silver City . "Luci can you just stop being so stubborn and just go do as our father made you to be ". Lucifer really wanted now to go somewhere else where  his brother isn't but instead he stayed and shouted to his brother "I DIDN'T WANT TO BE THE RULER OF HELL ALL I WANTED WAS FREE WILL AND WHAT I GOT WAS A BURNT SKIN AND  DEVIL WINGS BROTHER  !'"he shouted so loud that some bottles of alcohol moved.

Amenadiel sighed and pulled out his wings and flew away and after his brother flew to Silver city Lucifer looked down and saw glass shards on his hands. "Bollocks" he sighed and went to his bedroom to change his clothes from suit to his red silky robe.
