Chapter 4: Bringing back the beauty. To the palace
Before the sun had risen, Lisa had already woken up to do her morning routine.
All her life she had been doing it, and rebirth wouldn't stop her. Lisa's mum used to tell her she had an alarm installed in her brain, and her brother also loved to make fun of her habit.
Her eyes became teary as she thought about her past life, but she forced herself to not cry; she had more important things to take care of.
Like her appeareance.
The first step was to get a mirror, even if it was broken. Her stepmother used to throw all her old things to a little shed guarded by a big fierce pitbull because, aparently, servants could try to steal things from there... Maybe not just servants.
Lisa couldn't help but smile at the line of her thoughts.
Damn, I feel like a dangerous woman
Most pleople would be afraid of a one-meter dog but, honestly, Lisa tought her stepmother was far more scary than the pitbull, and also far more mad.
But, to her satisfaction, the 'fierce guardian' was lying on the floor of the shed, snoring deeply, with no intentions of doing anything. Next to it there was a bowl full of water and some meat.
Why did that dog recive better food than her?
Lisa sighed." What did I expect?" She spoke out loud. "In their eyes I'm just like a dead corpse they want to send far away before it starts to smell."
Pit pat pit pat
Lisa felt her blood run cold as the black pitbull scratched the grounnd, slowly opened one eye and, upon discovering an unkown presence, it started growling.
As fast as her legs allowed her, Lisa took the first thing her hand reached and ran to her 'room', if it could be considerated as one.
Finally safe, she looked at the piece of glass in her hand. It wan't exactly a mirror, but it could be used.
First step done.
Now she had to do the part she liked least: Cutting her bangs herself.
Oh dear gods!
Scissors weren't hard to find, so Lisa easily obtained a pair of them. She silently prayed for a miracle to happen, not really sure of her hair-cutting skills.
There we go
Half an hour later, Lisa finally put the scissors on the floor and gave a nodd to her reflection, satisfied with her work.
She hadn't cut her bangs herself since she was at least fifteen; mostly because her brother wouldn't stop making fun of her. After that, she took some hairdressing classes, but never she never got to use this ability.
Dear brother, would you also laugh if you saw me like this?
It was definitly a big change.
Now that her bangs had been cut, her beautiful face could finally be seen, pretty enough to make the coldest heart melt and the hardest heart crack.
Lisa smirked; of course, she could also look at you with a cold expresion that makes you feel insignnificant, insecure and weak.
