Backstory: It has been 10 years since Charlie and Christina have seen each other. They were very good friends in high school but left on bad terms. Charlie is coming into the hospital, where Christina works, with a broken arm. Christina is assigned to Charlie as his doctor.
Christina treats Charlie's broken arm nonchalantly while not paying attention to him at all. Charlie smiles at Christina.
Charlie (playfully) :Fancy seeing you here.
Christina: Yeah, well, I work here.
Charlie: Oh really, like I couldn't tell from the scrubs.
Christina: I'd prefer to keep this professional Charlie. Stop it.
Charlie: Our relationship in high school wasn't very professional, Christina.
Christina (ignoring the comment): I'm done wrapping your arm.
Christina walks to the door.
Charlie (playing around): Come on Christina. You didn't want to talk at all?
Christina: Stop joking around Charlie. We aren't in high school anymore.
Christina: Charlie, you hurt me when ditching me for Clare. Our relationship is in the past.
Charlie: I was young and stupid. I'm sorry Christina. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt you.
Christina walks beside the bed.
Christina: But you did. I thought we were going to make us official and then you go to the prom with Clare.
Charlie grabs Christina's hand and holds it tightly
Charlie: I love you Christina, I didn't realize what I needed was right in front of me
Christina slaps Charlie in the face and pulls her hand away.
Christina (angrily): You wait 10 years to tell me that? I have loved you forever and I waited for you but it is too late now.
Christina rolls her eyes and leaves for the door.
Hours pass and Charlie is napping in the hospital bed, waiting for his x-ray scans. Christina comes in to check Charlie's bandages, not even making eye contact with him for a second.
Charlie: So that's it? You are never going to speak to me again?
Christina ignores him and continues to check his arm.
Charlie: That hurts, you know? It would hurt less if you talked to me.
Charlie smirks to try and get a reaction from Christina but she stays cold.
Christina: Your arm looks fine now. You can come back in a couple of weeks to get your cast off.
She turns to leave for the door again but something stops her. Charlie grabs her wrist restraining her from moving any further.
