Mary x Reader

A/N: This is my first one-shot so it might not be that good, please tell me some characters to do other one-shots with!!

Y/N - Your name.
Y/L/N - Your Last Name.
Y/E/C - Your eye color. 
Y/H/C - Your hair color. 

Y/N's POV:

It is my first day at Hyakkaou Private Academy, the student council president showed me around the school and now I'm watching two girls gamble, one with blonde hair and orangy-brown eyes, the other with long black hair and brown eyes, they looked very focused on the gamble.

Mary's POV:
 
I'm gambling with Yumeko when someone watching caught my eye, they had Y/E/C eyes and Y/H/C hair, they were watching the gamble, I am going to win obviously. I must win, Yumeko set a big bet and if I lose I'll be in debt and become a house pet, that can't happen, I'm one of the best gamblers here. 

10 minutes later:

Mary's POV: 

I lost- how did I lose, I'm in too much debt I won't be able to pay back. I'm a house pet, I got beat by Yumeko Jabami, how did I let this happen, how did she catch on that I was cheating, how will I get the yen to pay her back.

Y/N's POV: 

The girl with the black hair won, I should congratulate her, "Hey! Congratulations on winning the gamble, it seemed very intense!" I say to her, the other girl - the one with blonde hair seems upset that she lost, well she would be, she lost 500,000 yen, I'm thinking of gambling with her and letting her win so she isn't a house pet, my parents are very rich so they could give me the yen to pay her back straight away. "Hey, who are you? Are you new here?" I hear from behind me, I turn around and see the girl with blonde hair standing behind me, "Hi! I'm Y/N and I just transferred here today, who are you?" I reply. "I'm Mary, I was one of the best gamblers here, but Yumeko showed up and beat me, I guess you saw that gamble. I have to admit you caught my eye during the gamble." She says to me. I caught her eye, I think to myself, what does she mean by that, she was looking at me and I didn't realize? I wonder what she thought of me just by looking at me, was there something on my face? God, I hope I didn't look like an idiot.

Mary's POV: 

I walk over to the person who caught my eye during the gamble, "Hey, who are you? Are you new here?" I ask them, "Hi! I'm Y/N and I just transferred here today, who are you?" They reply with. "I'm Mary, I was one of the best gamblers here, but Yumeko showed up and bear me, I guess you saw that gamble. I have to admit you caught my eye during the gamble." I say to them, I hope I don't make them feel uncomfortable. They seem really nice, I would like to be their friend, I don't know what they'd think of me though, I hope they don't think I'm that bad, I do get a bit crazy when I gamble sometimes. I haven't seen them gamble, I would like to gamble with them to see how good they are. "Hey! Mary-san, I was thinking, would you like to gamble with me?" I hear, they want to gamble now?! I hear gasps from the crowd "Woah Y/L/N-san wants to gamble Saotome-san" "Mary just got beat though, she's in debt" I hear. "i- i- of course I would!" I say back to them.

Y/N's POV:

Mary walked away a little bit so I followed her and stood behind her, I realize it's a bit creepy,  I know. I say "Hey! Mary-San, I was thinking, would you like to gamble with me?" I hear gasps and people saying how Mary just lost, little do they know I want her to win so she's no longer in debt, "i- of course I'd like to gamble with you!" She replies with. A girl comes and says she'll host the gamble, she said her name was Runa or something, she's part of the student council, we get the game set up, the gamble is called "Double Concentration" the rules seem pretty simple. 

1 hour later:

The gamble lasted about an hour, I let Mary win so she isn't in debt, I can pay her back straight away, "Congratulations Mary-San"  I say to her, "Thanks Y/N!" she pulls me aside and whispers in my ear "Why'd you let me win?", acting confused i say "Oh, but what do you mean Mary-san?", "Don't you play dumb with me, I know you let me win, why did you?" she replies, I see she caught on to my secret, "I didn't want you to be in debt." I say. "You don't even know me, why don't you want me to be in debt" She blurted. "I think we could become very good friends Mary-San" I explain. 

Mary's POV:

They let me win. They congratulate me, after i pull them aside and ask why they don't want me to be in debt, we don't know each other, why would they let me win,  "I think we could become very good friends Mary-San" they suggested. "I think we could too." I said. 

3 weeks later

Y/N's POV:

Me and mary have been friends for 3 weeks now and we got quite close, I think I like her, how do I tell her that?! I don't want it to be awkward and I don't want to ruin our friendship. "Hey Y/N!! How are you? Can we talk?" I hear, its mary, she said she wants to talk, I hope I haven't done anything. "Hiya Mary! I'm good, thanks! what's up?" I asked. "Okay, so, I was thinking and I think I like yo- never mind, it's strange, if you don't want to be my friend now it's okay I understand." Mary explains. "I feel the same way Mary. Of course I'd still be your friend" I declared. She leans in and kisses me.
