Chapter 13

Seth's POV:

The cell was damp and dirty and loud. I groaned as yet another man shifted and his wolf slammed into the silver bars, burning his skin in the process. Some of these rogues (a wolf without a pack that just runs wild) were just so damn stupid. They shifted in these tiny cells and when their wolves are too big, they hit the silver bars which silver burns werewolves so thus it would leave severe burns on his skin. Another one did it and howled in pain. Like I said, they're stupid.

"What're you in here for?" The rogue next to me questioned. He had been quiet since I arrived. I was shocked at his question.

"Disrespected a Luna from another pack."

"What'd you do that for?"

"Well..." I found myself telling this rogue everything. From finding Baila to seeing her again. "Now she is carrying the other Alpha's pups, which just sucks, you know?"

"What pack is she the Luna of?"

"Silver Moon." The rogue nodded with a weird glint in his eye.

"And she's carrying pups?"

"Twins, I think." He nodded thoughtfully.

"Well, sound's like a bummer man. But, you know what? Sometimes we all must let things go and move on yes?" I nodded.

"What are you in here for?"

"Aside from being a rogue?" I chuckled, our pack put all rogues in prison. It was simple procedure.

"True." He nodded.

"This will be my fourth time in a prison, I think by now my wolf has just accepted it." I nodded again and he began chipping away at the brick behind us.

"Can't get out you know? We're underground." He looked at me with an eyebrow raised.

"How far underground?"

"Twelve feet." He nodded and quit chipping.

"What do you suggest?"

"I'm here on a time out, my brother will come and get me any day now. I don't know what to do for you."

"Well, I believe in surprises." I laughed, just as Elliot came down with the key. He handed me it quickly.

"Why aren't you unlocking it?"

"The Alpha said that you could come out when you figured out how to get out. I thought I'd give you a head start." I nodded at my grinning brother. "If anyone asks, I wasn't the one who gave you it. Got it?" I nodded and he looked at the rogues around me. "And only you escape, okay?"

"Got it,"

"See ya at home." He left and I unlocked the door. My neighbor chuckled. He wasn't that bad, after all he was just some rogue that had trespassed right? I stuck the key in his cell and unlocked the door. He smiled.

"Thank you, my young friend." I nodded and returned the smile.

"Just don't let anyone catch you leave, got it?"

"Will do."

With that we went our separate ways. Elliot hugged me when I got back and made me promise I wasn't going to do anything stupid like that again. I laughed and nodded. My rogue friend was right, sometimes we had to let things go. If I was Baila, I wouldn't take me back either. Now, I just needed to pray that Artemis will forgive me and I might get a second mate too.
