-the next morning-
Neveah.

"So y'all just argued?" I asked while Brielle made pancakes.

Brielle nodded. "I'm surprised he didn't leave last night."

"No he came downstairs and fell asleep." I chuckled. "Can I be honest with you?"

"Always."

I cleared my throat preparing for Brielle's reaction. "He kind of has a point though."

Brielle made a face and flipped the pancake. "Elaborate."

"Even though I feel where you're coming from, you can't be mad at Jason for moving on and not fighting for you when you just ended it out of the blue." I sighed. "I can vouch for Jason when I said he was hurting bad Brielle and not Lani bad just bad."

"You don't think I was hurting bad?"

I slowly shook my head. "This isn't a competition Brielle, this is real life. "You don't deal with confrontation, you run away from it. You haven't talked to your sister in two years, you ignore your dad still instead of getting closure and you still have ill will towards Trevor even though both of you have moved on to better things."

She just stared at me then shrugged. "I've been gone for 2 years, if you think you know me you don't."

I smacked my lips. "Girl bye because I'm trying to help. You're ass know you miss Jason."

Rolling her eyes, she added chocolate chips to the other batter. "I do miss him but he's on and off with Nova and I don't want to become another Lani."

"You're no where near Lani." I said stealing a chocolate chip. "But you got to tighten up that attitude. I almost knocked your head off ya shoulders just now."

She chuckled. "Whatever Neveah."

"Good morning." Kenzie mumbled walking into the kitchen.

"Good afternoon kenz." Brielle chuckled. "You take the Advil I had for you?"

She nodded and sat on the stool in front of us. "Tell the room to stop spinning."

I laughed and shook my head. "Sis, you was lit last night."

"Dont remind me." Kenzie groaned.

"Hola beautiful ladies." Hakeem said walking into the kitchen. He pecked my lips and mushed Brielle and Kenzie.

"I wanna fight you." Kenzie mumbled.

Hakeem chuckled. "Where's Jason?"

"In his skin when you jump out, he jumps in." I said stealing another chocolate chip.

"Don't talk to my bestie like that." Jason said coming into the kitchen.

"Let's use our inside voices." Kenzie said putting her head down on the island counter.

"I love how we're all fine and she's just hung over." Brielle chuckled.

"After you went to sleep, she kept drinking." I shrugged. "Thought she was a G."

"I am a G." Kenzie mumbled into the counter.

We all laughed and finished making brunch.

After we ate, Kenzie decided to go with Neveah and Hakeem to the store to get some stuff. I was in the back yard smoking and checking my school emails. I applied for internships all over and I wanted to check for any updates.
